“It’s Time for a Heart Check!”

“When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue is parched with thirst, I the Lord will answer them; I the God of Israel will not forsake them.” Isaiah 41:17

Scripture Contemplation: Genesis 4; 15; Isaiah 41; Matthew 25:31-46

What resides in your heart? Who does your heart stand in allegiance with? If you were to stand before the judgment seat of the heavenly Father, today—based on your actions of late and your heart and thoughts at this very moment—can you say that God will say to you, “Well done my good and faithful servant”, or will you hear: “Depart from me you worker of iniquity, I know you not? We have entered a crucial time in this earth. It seems that more evil is prevailing and many are doing nothing to stop it but instead are either celebrating it, ignoring it, tolerating it, doing it, or behaving like it is the most natural thing in the world; agreeing with the evil and not standing up to fight or prevent it. It is time for a heart check before we move so far into evil that we are exactly where the enemy wants us to be, separated eternally from God.

I decree that this week’s Reflections is a continued source of encouragement and inspiration for your heart mind and soul. Spend some quality and quiet time in the presence of the Lord this week. Set aside some time to do a heart check, and search the contents of your heart. What resides in our heart often determines our actions. We often do or not do something based upon what we believe or do not believe in our hearts.

In Need of a Spiritual Enema

Jeremiah 18:12 “But they say, ‘That is in vain! We will follow our own plans, and will every one act according to the stubbornness of his evil heart.”

Daniel 11:27 “And as for the two kings, their hearts shall be bent on doing evil. They shall speak lies at the same table, but to no avail, for the end is yet to be at the time appointed.”

One of the things that I know—God is aware of all things; especially the condition of our hearts and our state of minds. We cannot hide from God our intentions. We cannot lie about what we really mean or what we are really going to do, because God already knows. Many are following their own plans, their own agendas, while others refuse to admit when they are wrong or have made a mistake. The hardening of their hearts has caused them to be deaf, dumb, and blind, making their hearts not only full of greed but also evil.

We stand in need of a spiritual enema. Too many are desensitized to the atrocities that take place every day. Hearts have grown so cold, that they stand idly by and allow evil to prevail.

When we do not commit our ways, our thoughts and our heart to God, we run the risk of falling prey to our own ego, selfish thoughts, and ways. Everything becomes me, me, me. All about what self-wants, even at the destruction of innocence. Power is a drug. The more you have of it without God in the lead soon corrupts the person and all who are around them.

It’s time to do a heart check and repent before it is too late and we are utterly destroyed by our own machinations. Those who know God and are true believers must stand up, repent, and do as God has commissioned us to do; even if it is not the most popular thing to do at the time.

2 Chronicles 7:14 if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

We are our Brothers and Sisters Keeper

Genesis 4:9-10 Then the Lord said to Cain, “Where is Abel your brother?” He said, “I do not know; am I my brother's keeper?” ¹And the Lord said, “What have you done? The voice of your brother's blood is crying to me from the ground.

Matthew 25:37-40 “…‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.”

I cannot look at the state of affairs in the world we are living in and accept that this is God’s way when I know it goes against everything that God stands for and what those who are true believers stand for. Far too many of us have lost our way. Our hearts have become too darken to see the light or hear and receive the word and chastisement of our Living God.

Some have become their own gods in their mind; doing what appeases them while systematically trying to destroy anyone that may oppose them, and call it doing what is best for the whole. Though it may seem that these people are prospering and getting away with such atrocities, God says otherwise. Be certain whatever we sow, and whatever we have done to others will be done to us, to our children, and even our children’s children.

Galatians 6:7 Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap.

Finally

Beloved, what is the state of your heart? Have you stood up for righteousness sake? Or, are you one to complain but never step up to the plate to make a difference? Is your heart malleable, supple in the hands of God Almighty? Or has it hardened so much that even the atrocities done to innocent children do not ignite anger on their behalf?

It is time to take a stand against evil, a stand against anything that opposes the will and plans of God. We are ambassadors of Christ. We are the reflection of God in this earth as believers. We cannot turn a deaf ear or blind eye to what is right in God’s sight because we fear being in the minority. We both stand up for righteousness and do what is right or we fall prey to the wiles of the enemy, destroy ourselves, and possibly curse our legacy for generations to come.

My Beloveds, May the spirit of peace and prosperity finds permanent rest in your lives. I decree that every good thing that God has ordained for your life will become evident to you. Let God have reign in your heart. Check the status of your heart daily, allowing the love of God to penetrate it. Do not be afraid to stand for what is right in a place full of people going left or in an opposite direction. God is calling us to a higher place and it requires a heart that sold out to Him. You are blessed. Now go…and be a blessing.

 appy Father’s Day! I extend greetings and exaltations to each and every father and father to be. Not just for today, but for each and every day that you are granted to be alive in this earth and having an impact in a child’s life. Whether you are a biological father, surrogate father, mentor, bonus-father (I don’t like to use the word step!) If you are a father figure in any kind of way, having an impact on so many impressionable lives and in the lives of young men who may be young adults but still need and yearn for a father in their lives. I salute you with the love of God, and pray that the blessings of God fill you, and surround you, as you yield yourself to the grace and will of God. Whatever you think you may lack, know that it all can be found in Father God!

I declare and decree that this week’s Reflections will be a continued source of encouragement and inspiration for your heart mind and soul. Yield all that you are and who you desire to be to God today. There is nothing you need or desire that cannot be found in the Father God. Even as mature adults, we never stop needing the love and guidance of our parents. Their wisdom is invaluable. Nothing matches Father God's wisdom. Spend quality time in the presence of God this week. You may have known Him as your Deliverer, Healer, Friend, and Savior. Now let Him be the Father you need.

Long Lasting Seeds

Proverbs 26:6 Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.

A parent that loves that child will chastise them and lovingly discipline them when they are in error. The Word of God admonishes us to train up a child in the way they should go. Parents are responsible for instructing their children and raising them to be responsible and accountable for their actions. More times than not, a child will do what they see more than what they are told. Most children are a reflection of who we are as parents and what we believe. We cannot expect our children to do the right thing if they have never seen what the right thing is or have been taught.

It is not love or wisdom to give our children everything that they want. Nor is it wise to allow them to raise themselves or believe that there are no consequences for their actions. They will not only correct them when they are wrong but also praise them when they are correct. A Parent will lead by example. When they fail or fall, will not hide it from their children but instead, make it a life lesson, teaching their children responsibility, accountability, and humility.

What a parent teaches their child in their formative years, will never depart from them. It is a seed planted, growing throughout the years, a small acorn, growing into a strong and indestructible oak tree. Strong and mighty in all seasons.

My husband and I were talking about this earlier last week about the lessons and foundations we received as children. The foundations we received shaped who we are. However, our lives may have taken different paths, and though he may have studied and believed in another way of life for a while, at his core was always what he was taught as a child. It is what remains at his core and reminds him of who he is and what he truly believes in relation to his relationship with our Heavenly Father.

The teaching of our children is most important to our children’s self-worth and identity. There are far too many God-fearing believers missing from children’s lives.

All We Need is in Father God

Joshua 1:9  “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Hebrews 4:13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

There is absolutely nothing we stand in need of that cannot be found in Father God. Do you know how much God loves you? Do you know that He already knows your thoughts before you think them? Did you know that He would leave the company of 99 believers who have found themselves in Him just to search for you if you did not know Him and was lost, having trouble finding your way? You matter! You matter to God. Everything about you, God cares. All that you need and have been searching for is all in Him. God has it all. He knows where you need to be, needs to go, how to proceed—all of it! God knows all about you.

What is holding you back from going and yielding to Father God? What keeps you from trusting God? Was it a prayer you believe He did not answer? Is it current trials and tests that seem to be going on forever? Trust me, I understand. I am right there at this very moment in my life. Yet, I love God and believe that all that I need is in Him. He has the answers and the keys I need to unlock the doors. When the due season comes, I will use those keys as He instructs. He sees what I cannot see and when the time is right, He will reveal all and make the understanding known.

God admonishes us to be strong and courageous and not to be discouraged. He is with us wherever we go; even in mistakes, He will be there. There is nothing hidden from God. He knows everything! I do not know about you, but I feel comforted by that fact. For when I cannot find the words to pray; when I am at a loss and need direction, I can literally cry out to God, and my Daddy will be there, knowing what is best for me. Always! My Heavenly Father will never leave me or disappoint me; even when I feel let down by Him, somewhere down the line of time, I will be given understanding and insight, gaining wisdom that I am certain I will pass along.

Beloveds, do not mistake the chastisement and discipline of God as rejection. Do not pout like a child who does not get their way and plays on the parent’s heartstrings. God is bigger than whatever you are facing or will ever face. He is able to discipline you with love and still bless you with your heart’s desire. Not because of how good or perfect you seem to be, but by His grace and mercies, and because He has made promises to us and will not go back on His word.

My Beloveds, May the spirit of peace and prosperity finds permanent rest in your lives. I decree that every good thing that God has ordained for your life will become evident to you. All you need and desire is in Father God. His love is unconditional. Strength, peace, joy, healing, grace, creative ideas, purpose…all of it is in God. Allow the Father that place in your life; to fill every empty part with His love and presence. You will never regret saying yes to God. You are blessed. Now go…and be a blessing!

"Not For God"

There is so much going on in the world today, that it is causing fear in the heart of many, anger in the others, and hopelessness in countless others. Some things seem impossible; the road ahead filled with uncertainties and impossibilities. The Father has consistently reminded me this week: The situation may look impossible and perhaps it is for me, but nothing is impossible for Him.

I declare and decree that this week’s Reflections will be a continued source of encouragement and enlightenment for your heart, mind, and soul; bringing you peace in every area of your life. Stir up your faith. Remind yourself that God is still in control no matter how uncontrolled the situations may be. Spend some quality intimate time in the presence of God this week; allowing Him to remind us of Who He is and what He has promised you.

If I were to go, by the way, things appear today; I would never want to get out of bed or even think of the promises of God. So many things are taking place; things that are out of my control and all I know to do is call upon God and ask Him to come through. To, show up and show out, keeping true to His word.

Many times I have had, my faith pushed and tested this past couple of months. I will not lie to you: it has been excruciating and at times exhausting. I have felt pulled in so many different directions that I feel like Gumby. Do you know what God said asked me? Do you trust Me, daughter? Really God? You see what I’m going through and that’s Your answer to my prayer? Do I trust You? Of course, God simply says, “Yes. Do you trust Me? Yes or no?

Before I answered, I had to search my heart and truly ask myself if I really trusted God. Did I truly trust Him as I said? Did my heart really believe in what God has spoken? Or was I like so many others, only having faith and trusting God when things were going my way and the way I thought they should be going?

At the end of my self-inspection and heart check, I had to admit that I was lacking. Lacking in my trust in God. My situation left me feeling vulnerable. Everything that is going on seems so overwhelming and impossible for me to do anything about. My trust in God had waivered. Not that I did not believe His word; but weariness had settled in and anger that I had to even go through what I am going through. Oh! None of it is God’s fault. But we always seem to place the blame on the ones we love the most. Be honest; at one time or another, the thought has come that if God loved us, why did He allow this to happen. Why is He allowing these things to go on? The truth of the matter is, most of the situations we find ourselves face with are due to the consequences of other people’s actions and ours. Things must run their course. And when God is cleaning house and cleaning up the messes that others have caused—even the things we caused—we must remember that God does things His way and in His time.

Though things were impossible for us, there is nothing impossible for Him. When we trust God to take care of us, to lead us and to do what is necessary; we will understand that He has always had our best interest. He has always been there; even through the storms and difficulties—He has been right there. Those things that appear impossible for us? They are not for Him. The things we have difficulty getting through and pass? Trust God to bring us through because there really is nothing impossible for God.

My Beloveds, may the spirit of peace and prosperity finds permanent rest in your lives. I decree that every good thing that God has ordained for your life will become evident to you. Those the situations before you seem impossible and your hands are tied to do anything about it; trust God to bring you through. Remember that though it is impossible for you, nothing is impossible for God and He is showing up right on time. You are blessed. Now go…and be a blessing!

I cannot pretend—to myself—hat all is going perfectly well. That, I am not experiencing some troubles and trials, heartaches and some heaviness. I may be able to put on a smile for everyone else and continue to take care of business, while others (with the exception of my closest circle or confidante) will be no wiser of the inner turmoil that I am suffering.

There are many things I do not know in this life and many things I do. Such as love, happiness, joy, hurt, pain, sorrow, and betrayal, just to name a few. However, one of the greatest things I have come to know and learn is that I can ALWAYS look up to God when so many things cause me to want to look and keep my head down and my mouth closed.

I pray today’s Reflections brings comfort and peace to your heart and mind. I decree it be a continued source of encouragement and inspiration; bringing peace and revelation to your heart, mind, and soul. Do not hide the pain in your spirit and heart. Let it out. Now is not the time to get quiet, but to speak to God, who is there; even when you feel everyone else has gone. Talk with God; He is listening and waiting to give you exactly what you need.

I may be able to hide my pain and turmoil from others, but I will never be able to hide it from myself or be able to pretend it is not like a boulder on a chain around my neck. I realized a long time ago, you could not be free or move forward if you hide from yourself, lie to yourself, or pretend that there is nothing wrong.

This, my Beloveds, is where prayer is essential. The anchor will hold you down. The lifeline that will keep you tethered to the heavenly Father. The connection that will give you peace of mind and heart and the strength to go on

Prayer gives strength to our spiritual and natural lives. Prayer is what keeps us grounded and open to hearing the voice of God. It is a conversation between our Creator and ourselves. It is not just making a list of wants and repeating them. God is not Santa Claus. Nor is He a magician, waiting to do magic tricks and perform.

Our answers, our strength, our joy, our help—all come from God, and whoever He leads into our lives, to be the representative of Him in this earth. I believe that there are angels all around us in human form. We just have to open our hearts, our minds, and our souls to see and believe and experience the wonders of God's infinite and unconditional love for us.

God is our Father, our Creator, and our Help. He is our Deliverer, our Savior, our Comforter, our Teacher, our connection to who WE really are. Our Father is the One we can ALWAYS turn to—no matter what we are facing.

Far too many times, and for far too long we allow pain, heartache, and disappointments blind and bound us from what is right in front of us. No. We cannot ignore the pain. We must confront and deal with it. However, we do not have to go it all alone; isolated, allowing our feelings to get the best of us.

In my life's journey, I have come to learn just how scared the enemy gets when we pray. He would prefer if we got quiet, did not speak, and held everything in. He would love it if we would evade what bothers us and pretend it does not exist. Because it would give him the continued opportunity to torment us; to mess with our minds; to create fear, and keep us bound by that fear.

The devil is a lie! And the truth—us speaking our truth—will not only set us free, but allow us to walk in the spirit of love, power, and a sound mind (2Timothy 1:7), giving God reign over our mind, our thoughts, and our heart where what we think of eventually resides.

Beloveds, we can look to God. Listen to His voice. Follow His instructions. Moreover, be open to the people He is sending in our life this season to aid us in moving forward. It may not be easy; the pain still very raw. However, God will be with us; that soothing balm that brings comfort, peace, strength, and a reminder that His love for us is not only unconditional but also boundless. We just have to keep the faith and never stop reaching or believing, or praying.

My Beloveds, may the spirit of peace and prosperity find permanent rest in your lives. I decree that every good thing that God has ordained for your life will become evident to you. Do not allow the heartache and pain of current circumstances to keep your mouth shut when it comes to prayer. Meditate on the Word; pray diligently, and be open to who God sends your way. We must be in communication with the Father to know and recognize whom God has ordained to be our help in this time of need. Have faith and shut the enemy down finally. You are blessed. Now go…and be a blessing!

"You Already Are"

"You Already Are"

Do you believe me when I tell you that everything

you need to become the person you already are, is already residing in you? It's true. What part are you having trouble with? The part that says it's already residing in you? Or, 'the person you already are'? Let's look at that first, shall we?

The person God created you to be? That person you want to be? That person who totally has their ish together and are whole and confident in themselves? Yes. That person. THEY. ALREADY. EXIST. INSIDE. OF. YOU. The person you will yet be is already waiting within. Waiting to emerge, to be birthed, to be born, to be recognized and given permission to come forth. When God formed us in our mother's womb, He created us whole and complete. He created as He sees us—in His image, Flawless, full of wonder and splendor, and whole in our heart, mind, and soul.

Everything we need to birth this part of us? Everything we need to bring them forth? It is already residing in us. All we have to do is believe it. Trust God on this journey of life, as He reveals to us everything that He has hidden within us.

Why is it hidden? Because, when we come into this world, we're not ready for the magnificence of the person we're yet to be. It would overwhelm us. We need to grow and learn and most of all, come to God, on our own, developing a relationship with Him. Every day is an opportunity for us to allow ourselves to become who God created us to be. Some of us are scared, afraid to seek that part of us because we're afraid that they don't really exist. Oh! We exist, Beloved. YOU exist! Each trial and test we go through in this life—believe it or not—brings us closer to who we already are. Our true, authentic, God designed us finally coming forth.

You're still here because you have not given up. That part of you; the person you already are, will not let you give up. They're waiting their turn. When they finally emerge, it will be like: What took me so long?

"Celebrate!"

“Celebrate!”

“And he said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours. It was right that we should make merry and be glad, for your brother was dead and is alive again, and was lost and is found.’” Luke 15:31-32

Scripture Contemplation: Luke 15: 11-32

Are you someone that celebrates the accomplishments and victories of others? For real. You know; not the fake “smile-in-your-face-but-scowling-behind-the-back” kind of celebrate? But the honest to goodness, sincere I-am-truly-happy-for-you kind of celebrate? Because there are way too many walking around harboring hate in their heart and soul over the accomplishments of others when the Father is instructing us to be happy for one another when we meet those milestones in life.

I pray today’s Reflections brings comfort and peace to your heart and mind. I decree it be a continued source of encouragement and inspiration. Let your heart and mind be fixed on Christ each day. Allow God to work in you and bring you to a place of peace and happiness. Celebrate the accomplishments of those around you. Be happy for them, as God prepares you to succeed in your goals and passion in life.

There are some haters in our midst. Those who would love nothing more than for us to fail at everything we do. In fact; each time we accomplish or reach a goal, they will smile in our face but talk about us behind our backs, suggesting that our accomplishments are not as they seem.

Some of us need to be careful because we are those very haters. What?! Yes! Some of us only need to look in the mirror to see that we are the haters. The ones that have difficulty celebrating the accomplishments of others. The ones that moan and complain often that God is not moving fast enough or answering their prayers. The ones that find fault in all that others do but find it most difficult to see or accept their own faults and flaws.

We should celebrate the victories of those around us. Be happy for the fulfillment of their goals and their accomplishments. Learn to rejoice when someone who was lost finds their way. Celebrate the victories and milestones met by those you know worked very hard. And while you are celebrating another, the things you need are being taken care of.

I love the parable of the prodigal son. Though he squandered all that he had, he had the wherewithal to humble himself and go back home. His return was celebrated while the son who remained home and dutiful and obedient to his father felt sore about the celebration being held in his wayward brother’s return.

The older brother reminds me of those who have been working hard their entire lives to reach a goal; to make their dreams come true. And as they are working diligently, here comes an up and coming new-comer, who accomplishes in a short period what that other person has been working towards for years. Kind of like being an actor for thirty years. Working hard at your craft. Always nominated but never winning. Then here comes a young actor; their first shot out and they are not only nominated but win the coveted award. Doesn’t seem fair, does it? But that’s life sometimes. Who’s to say what obstacles that young actor has gone through? Who’s to say that they didn’t merit the win at that time? It was their season. It may have been their only season.

Because another person wins, doesn’t necessarily make you a loser. It just isn’t your season. When you take the time to genuinely celebrate the accomplishment of others, it opens the doors and makes room for your own blessings to manifest. It’s called humility. Even though you may feel you deserve recognition for all your hard work, be patient. Wait for your season. We all have one. Allow the seeds of your life that were planted to take root and get strong, so that when your fruit comes forth—in due season—it will be good fruit free of blemish, and full of abundance.

Celebrate the accomplishments and milestones of others. Be supportive. Be the person that takes joy when others succeed, while knowing that your season is right around the corner. Celebrate the return of those to the fold; to the household of God. Welcome them with open arms. Let them know and see that you are there for them, to help celebrate not just their accomplishments, but also their lives.

My Beloveds, may the spirit of peace and prosperity find permanent rest in your lives. I decree that every good thing that God has ordained for your life will become evident to you. There is no room for hate or shade when you are walking in God. No room to feel slighted or left out. What God has for you is for you. Rest assure; God is not rewarding bad behavior or a jealous spirit. But He does celebrate with those who celebrate others and lift one another to their highest level of best. Celebrate one another. Celebrate as you wait patiently for your season to come to pass. You are blessed. Now go…and be a blessing.

"Free"

“Free”

“Christ has set us free to live a free life. So take your stand! Never again let anyone put a harness of slavery on you.” Galatians 5:1 (MSG)

Scripture Contemplation: Galatians 5; Ephesians 3; 5; Hebrews 6…

As we celebrated Independence Day in America, many took the time to thank those who fought and continue to fight for our freedom. To fight that we may pursue our happiness—whatever that may be.

I thought about it (freedom) quite a lot yesterday. And I realized that so many of us are anything but free. Whether it is physical, emotionally, mentally, or spiritually. Many of us are still bound. Bound to a way of life. To a belief. To a person, a lifestyle, an idea. Some are even bound to their negative thoughts.

I pray today’s Reflections brings comfort and peace to your heart and mind. I decree it be a continued source of encouragement and inspiration. As you delve into an intimate relationship with the Creator, allow Him to shape and mold and condition your heart. Let His love cover you, as He teaches you what it truly means to be free.

The ties that bind us are evident by what we witness in this world each and every day. The continued atrocities that occur against our fellow man based upon an ideal and belief system that makes some believe they have the right to treat others with such hate, animosity, and vitriol.

What right do have to judge others? Unless it is a righteous judgment?—Not self-righteousness but a godly righteousness. Wherein we see an injustice and want to correct it. Where we stand up and become the voice for those who do not have one. Who, have been vehemently wronged and bullied, taken advantage of, and stripped of their rights.

It is obvious that although many are physically free they remain bound in their thoughts and ideals. So many are walking around bound in heavy mental-chains when God has already freed us. But they hang on to hurt, pain, ideals and principles that keep them from truly living a free life.

Beloveds, you are free. Freedom is yours if you desire to walk in it. We cannot control what others think and the actions that they ultimately choose to make. But we can be free in our own lives and live accordingly. And we can continue to fight for those who cannot fight for themselves.

We can break vicious cycles of hate and judgment by living our lives in such a manner, that we respect others and their right to choose and stand up for those who have no voice and have suffered by the hands of those who continue to be bound and abuse their authority and power.

My Beloveds, may the spirit of peace and prosperity find permanent rest in your lives. I decree that every good thing that God has ordained for your life will become evident to you. To be truly free, we must be free in our minds and hearts, and fight for those who cannot fight for themselves. Don't allow this world to bind you with its troubles. Allow God to pour His love into you, and free you physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. You are blessed. Now go…and be a blessing.

“You Can’t Fake it Forever”

“As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a whole heart and a willing mind; for the Lord searches all hearts, and understands every intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will let you find Him; but if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever.” 1 Chronicles 28:9

If were to be totally honest with ourselves, we would more than likely confess that there are many areas in our lives that we are faking. Many are in relationships right now that they truly do not desire to be in. And for whatever their reasons, they are faking it.

Many of us have entered into a relationship with God on false pretenses. We want what God can give us, but we do not desire the change He desires to bring to our hearts and minds. There are many things that we can fake in our lifetime, and probably get away with. However, when it comes to relationships and a relationship with the Almighty God—you can’t fake it forever.

I declare and decree that this week’s Reflections will be a continued source of encouragement and inspiration for heart, mind, and soul. God desires the truth in our inward parts. He wants us to walk in truth and sincerity. Allow Holy Spirit to expose the truth of your heart so that you can really start to live the blessed life that God has ordained for you.

Yes. We fake it. We fake relationships. We fake credentials. We fake what we know, who we are, where we’ve been, and who we love. The proof of all the fakeness is evident in the many broken relationships that we are either a party to or a witness of.

At what point in ourselves do we decide to lie? Some not only lie, but determine in their heart and mind that being false is the only way to get what they want. It is sad state of affairs when you cannot be yourself; when you cannot accept people for who they are and accept yourself for who you truly are.

What is even worse, is our vain attempts to fake a relationship with God. Yes. There are many whose heart are not with God. But on the outside, they appear godly and righteous. They have the appearance of a true believer, full of grace and faith, but it is only for appearances sake, so that they may get whatever it is they are coveting.

Make no mistake: There is no fooling God. He sees you for who you are. Though it may appear that you are getting away with a heart of deceit; you only fool yourself because God knows all things.

Galatians 6:7 “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap.”

Many of us enter into relationships with our heart and mind already made up. We're either going to be honest or false. We're going to give our all or fake it until we get what we want. With God, there is no faking it. There is no gray area. It's yes or no. Cold or hot. Black or white. Either you believe God or you don't. God desires all of us. Our heart, mind, soul and body. There is no faking when it comes to a relationship with God.

Yet, the heart of a person can be so calculating and deceitful. Why would anyone want to use the kindness and the love of another with no intentions of reciprocating that which was freely give? We do this to God each and every day we profess to love Him and worship Him, but live our lives as though we never met Him.

Jeremiah 17:9-10 “The heart is hopelessly dark and deceitful, a puzzle that no one can figure out. But I, God, search the heart and examine the mind. I get to the heart of the human. I get to the root of things. I treat them as they really are, not as they pretend to be.”

What’s that famous Abraham Lincoln quote? — "You can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time." I’d like to add that you cannot fool God at any time.

God knows us through and through. He knows the intentions of our heart. And though many may believe they are getting away with their deceit, sooner or later the truth will be revealed. I am of the belief that God gives people the opportunity to get things right. I believe He gives each person the ample chance to repent and humble themselves, and to do the right thing. He gives a warning in secret; speaking to the heart and mind. Then He sends a messenger with a word of knowledge. Lastly, exposure for all to see takes place.

Many want the benefits of knowing God, but do not want the intimate relationship or test and trials that come with the promises of God. Many may be able to fake a relationship for an undetermined amount of time. But sooner or later you will bear fruit that will tell the truth of who you really are.

Luke 6:43-44a “For a good tree does not bear bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. For every tree is known by its own fruit.”

No matter who you are. No matter how good your game is. No matter how many times you thought you got away with being false—you cannot fake it forever. The simple truth is; God. Already. Knows. He knows who you are. He knows your heart. And He knows the day you will be exposed. It’s just a matter of time. And for certain, we all reap what we have sown.

So—what are you going to do? Who are you going to be in this life? Are you going to real, honest, and sincere? Or, are you going to fake your way through relationships just to get what you want? Sooner or later the truth will be learned, and in the end, there will be only one loser: you. Get real. Get right. Get Christ…for real.

I decree that the spirit of peace and of prosperity has found permanent rest in your lives. There is no faking with God. He already knows the truth. He knows the heart and the mind. We do not have to fake who we are, when all we have to do is accept Christ and walk in the truth of who He has created us to be. There is nothing that anyone has or will ever have that can compete with the wholeness that comes from knowing and being in a sincere relationship with our intimate God. He accepts you just as you are: faults, flaws, and all. You are Blessed. Now go…and Be a Blessing!

“Unspeakable Pain”

“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.” Matthew 11:29-30

There are times when our hearts just hurt so bad, we do not know if or how we will ever recover. The pain coursing through our soul can feel restricting; binding us up in heartache and pain until it feels like we will crumble and perhaps even perish under the weight of it all.

It is unspeakable pain. The kind of pain that you have no words for. The kind of pain that cannot ever be properly describe, because the hurt and pain is so deep and jarring, that it not only leaves you speechless, it renders you incapable of thinking of most anything else. What do you do with this kind of pain? This kind of grief? You give it to God. Sounds to easy. Yet, the answer will always be to give it to Jesus. Because, He, better than any other knows exactly what you need to make it through.

I declare and decree that this week's Reflections will be a continued source of encouragement and inspiration for your heart, mind, and soul. Though the pain you may be experiencing at this current moment seems unbearable; though it may seem like it will never go away; trust God to be the arms you run to. Trust the Father to console you, and give your heart rest in the midst of the storm. He will never fail you. He knows just what you need.

Matthew 5:4 (MSG) “You’re blessed when you feel you’ve lost what is most dear to you. Only then can you be embraced by the One most dear to you.”

Psalm 27:4-5 (NASB) One thing I have asked from the Lord, that I shall seek:That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord and to meditate in His temple. For in the day of trouble He will conceal me in His tabernacle; In the secret place of His tent He will hide me; He will lift me up on a rock.

God is able too take you through all and everything that comes at you in this life. When the pain is so heavy and seems unbearable, do not count God out of the equation. He is able to bring you through. He is able to keep you and cover you. He is able to soothe you, and comfort you as no other. He knows you. He knows your heart. He knows what you need. Even when you feel what you need the most you have just lost, or are losing. God is able to take your pain and make sense of it. It may not be today, tomorrow, or a month or year from now. But you will receive understanding, and look back at this moment in your life, and know what it is you needed to learn and receive through the unspeakable pain.

Pain can be crippling, and it can also be liberating. Pain can propel us into action. It all depends upon how we deal with pain in our lives. There was a time when I used pain to propel me further in my life. I would take the pain, and use it as energy and determination to do what I needed to do. Yet, there was only one thing I was doing wrong. I wasn't dealing with the pain. Although the pain stirred me to action, I put the cause of the pain in the back of my mind and didn't confront the hurt. I did not bring it to the Father so that it could be addressed and dealt with. I was short changing myself from having healing and comfort through it all; causing myself to become emotionally crippled. Unable to express what it was I was feeling inside. Unable to articulate what emotion I was feeling and why.

There are those who withdraw from the world and life in general when they face unspeakable pain. It is too much to bear. Too much to think about. And the pain is so heavy they are unable to deal with anything else in their lives. The pain is not only unspeakable, but unbearable, so they find themselves cutting themselves off from life. I found myself in this situation, as well. As I got older, and suffered so much loss and pain; I was on emotional overload, and pain overdose. It was just too much. And I battled with depression. I withdrew from the things I loved doing. My prayer life even suffered. I felt out of sorts all the time. And I knew if one more thing happened, I would die. That is how excruciating the pain was.

Yet, God was there through it all. He remains my anchor. What I learned, and now know for certain is that, we can get through all things; all pain and adversity, when we take it to God. No. Things don't just become all sunny and rosy. But we can have confidence in knowing that God is right there with us. We can have joy in the midst of sorrow if our focus shifts from the pain, to the Healer of the pain.

Allow the pain to propel you forward by, placing it all in God's hands and dealing with the source of the pain. Withdraw into the arms of God, but not from life. Yield to the Father, and allow Him to navigate the torrent of emotions and crippling pain that you may be currently facing, with the knowledge and understanding that God will see you through. That, He will not allow you to walk through this minefield of pain without being your Buffer, and your Soother; your Counselor in the times of trouble, bringing comfort and understanding to your soul. You just have to trust Him. Trust God to do what He does best: Love on you.

2 Corinthians 1:3-5 (MSG) “All praise to the God and Father of our Master, Jesus the Messiah! Father of all mercy! God of all healing counsel! He comes alongside us when we go through hard times, and before you know it, he brings us alongside someone else who is going through hard times so that we can be there for that person just as God was there for us. We have plenty of hard times that come from following the Messiah, but no more so than the good times of his healing comfort—we get a full measure of that, too.”

I decree that the spirit of peace and prosperity has found permanent rest in your lives. No matter how deep the hurt. How unspeakable the pain. God will and can bring you through if you would trust Him to do so. Though it may seem like this pain will swallow you whole; know that it will not. It will make you stronger, and give you the wisdom to be the anchor for someone that will experience what you are going through now. Let the pain propel you, teach you, and strengthen you, by yielding to the Father. Allowing Him to bring you through this storm; being your anchor and your Healer. No One loves you more than God, or knows just what you need. You are Blessed. Now Go...and Be a Blessing!

“God Sees You...But Can You See Him?”

“She answered God by name, praying to the God who spoke to her, “You’re the God who sees me!“Yes! He saw me, and then I saw him!”Genesis 16:13 (MSG)

How many times have you cried out to the Lord, wondering if He sees what you are going through? How many times have you wondered if God even hears your prayers? It's quite hard to think rationally when you are in pain. It's is difficult to remember or even believe when your heart is hurting so bad. Because pain can be all consuming and debilitating. Hurt and pain can shut us down emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually.

Yet, even in your pain; even amongst your hurt and questioning, always remember and hold onto the fact that God sees you. He not only sees and hears you but has answered. The question now is: can you see Him? Can you see Him in the midst of the hurt and pain? Because rest assure; God is there.

I declare and decree that this week's Reflections will be a continued source of encouragement and inspiration to your heart, mind, and soul. Take rest in the fact that God sees you and has already answered. Let your heart and ears be open to the Lord, that you may see Him in the midst of your trials.

Psalm 34:17-19 (AMP)17 When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their distress and troubles.18 The Lord is close to those who are of a broken heart and saves such as are crushed with sorrow for sin and are humbly and thoroughly penitent. 19 Many evils confront the [consistently] righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.

While going through our trials, it is quite easy to forget the love and magnificence of the Heavenly Father. Through pain and hurt and disappointments, it is easy to find ourselves questioning our faith, and who God is. And it definitely easy for our sight to obscured from seeing God right before us. To see God in the midst of our chaos. To, see God in the midst of the pain and suffering we may be experiencing.

God sees us. He hears us. And He has prepared a way for us. Everything you go through. Every trial, every heartache, every painful situation; God is right there. And not only is He there, He is delivering us out of it all. We just have to believe. We have to know in our hearts, see in our spirit, the promises and word of God.

This is why it is imperative to have the word of God hidden deep within your heart. So that, whenever you are going through something; whenever a situation arises that is so crushing that you don't even want to pick up the Bible; your heart, your spirit can draw from the well of the word that is hidden in your heart. Bringing you comfort and sight. A sight to see God in the midst of your darkest hours.

Psalm37:24-26 4 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; for the Lord upholdeth him with His hand.25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging for bread. 26 He is ever merciful and lendeth, and his seed is blessed.

How many times have we come through something, and we see that God was there all along, only to forget that experience when another trial comes our way? It is so easy to forget past triumphs and victories in battle when you are in the midst of a new one. It is hard to remember the grace of the past when your heart is in the vice grips of pain so deep, that you feel as though your life is slipping from you.

But even in those times, we must remember God. We must remember who we are in Him and His promises. And we must diligently seek Him. See God in the midst of the storms. See Him in the midst of the trials. See Him amongst the grime and dirt and horrendous conditions. God is there, beloved, waiting for you to acknowledge Him. Waiting for you to open your heart to Him, and hold onto Him as He brings you through.

Being able to see God in the middle of chaos and filth takes discipline. Disciplining our ears and hearts to the voice and ways of God. And the only way to get this kind of discipline is to be in an intimate relationship with the Father.

Often times in our relationships, we talk too much and do not listen enough. We miss the subtly of what the other person is trying to say to us. With the Father, we do not need to talk as much as we need to listen. Be quiet in the presence of God. Hear Him. Learn His ways; His voice; His touch. Learn to recognize Him in the middle of all hell breaking loose.

Yes. You are going through it. The pain is excruciating. You don't know if you're going to make it. The pain is so severe that you can hardly catch your breath, let alone remember the past things the Father has brought you through. The pain is obscuring your vision, and blurring your memory of what God has already done. You don't know if you can make it. But guess what? You can and you will.

Keep your eyes on God. Praise Him in everything. Praise Him through the pain. Thank Him for a new day. Thank Him for being alive. Take comfort in the fact that God sees you and hears you, and worked it all out before you even asked.

Is it easy to do? No. It's not. There are some days you won't remember there is a God. There are some days you will cringe to hear someone say that God has it. You will question your faith. You will wonder if God is really real. And it is in these moments that you will have to draw upon the well of the word hidden in your heart. It is in these moments that you will have to lift your hands and heart to the Lord and simply say: “Lord I can't. But You are God and You Can.” And that will be enough. And there will be days when only one word will suffice. One name. Be it spoken verbally or in your heart: “Jesus.” And His name is more than enough.

I decree that the spirit of peace and prosperity have found permanent rest in every area of your lives. In the midst of your heartache, pain, and hurt, know that God has not abandoned you. He sees you and has worked things out for your good. Seek Him. See His hand moving on your behalf. Even in the rubble, flowers can grow. In a desert, there will be blooms. And in your darkest hour, and most painful times, God's light will shine and mark your path to deliverance, just as He has done in times before. Remember those times, and take comfort that, though weeping may endure for a night, joy comes in the morning. You are Blessed. Now go...and Be a Blessing!
