“Look In The Mirror”

“You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13

Scripture Contemplation: Deuteronomy 4:28-30; 1 Chronicles 28:8-10; Job 5; Jeremiah 29:11-14...

There will always be plenty of blame to go around. There will always be someone to point a finger at, and to place the blame on for the things that have gone wrong. Yet, there comes a time when we must look within. We must take a look in the mirror and do a self inspection of our own actions, and take responsibility accordingly.

I declare and decree that this week's Reflections will be a continued source of encouragement for your heart, mind, and soul. Allow this week to find you in the presence of God, seeking His will for your life, and searching of your heart. Run towards the truth, not away from it. Embrace it so that you may live your truth, and walk in the peace of God and His understanding.

At this very moment, there are many people who are suffering needlessly at the hands of another. There are lives being torn apart because of the decisions of another. For many, it may feel that God does not hear them. That, He has closed His ears to their call. For their pain is so great, that they are having a difficult time in holding on to their faith. It is my prayer that they would hold on, and not let go of God. Hold on tight and continue to seek God and to have faith that their troubles will not last. To believe with all their heart, that God is showing up, and He will be right on time.

At the same time, there are those who have inflicted this hurt and pain. There are those who have caused much suffering for themselves and others, yet deny their actions. They remove themselves from the equation, trying to place the blame on another; never taking responsibility for their actions. It is my prayer that they will soon repent, and do what is necessary to rectify, amend, and recompense for their actions.

We all have fallen short of God's glory. There are things that we may have done and will do that is not in the best interest of others, and sometimes not even in our own best interest. It is time for us to take responsibility for our actions. It is time for us to look in the mirror, and do a self evaluation of our actions. It is time for a heart check.

It is very easy to point the finger and to blame another when things in our lives do not go the way we want, or when something we did or did not do causes suffering for another. Many do not take responsibility for their actions, because they do not have the courage to face the consequences. It is hard for many to admit when they are wrong; when they have made a mistake. What is it that keeps us from admitting our faults? Pride.

Proverbs 11:2 When pride comes, then comes dishonor, But with the humble is wisdom.

Proverbs 16:18 Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before stumbling.

Proverbs 29:23 A man’s pride will bring him low, But a humble spirit will obtain honor.

There are times in our lives when we will make mistakes. There are times when we will be wrong in our actions and our decisions. And because of this, we may bring harm or hurt to others. We must learn to take responsibility for our actions. We must learn to humble ourselves and repent for the things we have knowingly done. And for those things we do not know, when God reveals them, be accountable and have a repentant heart.

For some, it is hard to accept that their lives are not quite going the way they would like or hope because of something they have done. Their actions have led to certain situations in their life, and they refuse to accept that it was what they did or did not do that created the situations that they are currently faced with.

Our lives can become stagnate and hold much pain and disappointment when we do not take responsibility for the decisions we make, and the actions we take. We must learn accountability. Too often we do not hold ourselves accountable to anyone. Without accountability, we run the risk of becoming insensitive to others. We risk walking a line that teeters on self-destruction and reckless abandonment between what is right and wrong. And our actions, more often than not, will hurt others while we hold no obligation to answer for our actions, but rather blame others.

The time is here for us to take a long look in the mirror, and to reflect upon the decisions we have made concerning our lives. For too long, many have been evading the truth, while others in our lives have suffered the consequences of our actions, and our lack of accountability.

Parents have an obligation to protect and take care of their children; to put the needs and safety of their children as a priority. Spouses have a responsibility to each other; to honor their vows and to be present and accountable in their marriage. Employees have an obligation to do their best on their job; to put in the hours necessary to earn their paycheck. Employers have an obligation to their employees to ensure that they are treated fairly, and that their earnings are conducive to the work they put in. They are responsible for making certain that there is a safe work environment, also. The government has a responsibility to the people. The government is suppose to be for the people and to protect the people and act accordingly in the best interest of the people.

Sadly, we all know too well what occurs when the above mentioned DO NOT act accordingly. When, they act in a manner in which there is no accountability or responsibility for their actions. Blame gets cast on others. Destruction begins to take place. Chaos ensues. And in the end...lives are destroyed.

It is time to take a look in the mirror. Take a look at our own actions, and repent. We can no longer point our fingers at others and do not first look at self. Until we can honestly look at ourselves, and be accountable for the the choices we make; then we will continue to have the same results in our lives.

Jeremiah 29:11-14 11 For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope. 12 Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you,’ declares the Lord, ‘and I will restore your fortunes and will gather you from all the nations and from all the places where I have driven you,’ declares the Lord, ‘and I will bring you back to the place from where I sent you into exile.’

I decree that the word of God is stirring you to action and repentance. May the spirit of peace and prosperity find permanent rest in your lives: spiritually, physically, emotionally,mentally, socially, and financially. Take a long look in the mirror. Allow God to reveal some things to you. Take responsibility for your actions, always. Be accountable to someone. Do not be quick to blame another when you have not first looked at self. Let God show you and lead you. He loves you abundantly. You are Blessed. Now go...and Be a Blessing!

Reflections4Life: "God Already Knows"

“God Already Knows”

“So trust in the Lord (commit yourself to Him, lean on Him, hope confidently in Him) forever; for the Lord God is an everlasting Rock [the Rock of Ages].” Isaiah 26:4 AMP

Scripture Contemplation: Proverbs 3; Isaiah 26; Isaiah 65; Luke 16; James 5...

What I know for certain: God is not sleeping. Neither is He winking. He sits high upon His throne, as He also walks among man. He knows the heart through and through. He sees what many cannot see or are unwilling to see. He knows our thoughts and our intentions. He is pulling back the covers; exposing truth and revealing the wolves in sheep's clothing. Many may deny the truth concerning their wicked and hateful hearts, and depraved minds; but they will never escape the hand of God. And, as many a elder would say: "Your arms are too short to box with God." We cannot outrun God or hide from Him. No matter what we do or think, you can believe God already knows. This...I know for certain.

I declare and decree that this week's Reflections will be a continued source of encouragement for your heart, mind, and soul. There is no need to hide from God, when He already knows. However, we must confess and repent and be made free. Acknowledge who the Father is, and be free from those things that would bind us.

There is a war going on in this world. It's been going on for a long time; ever since the fall of man. The war between good and evil. Though it seems that evil has been winning many a battle; the truth is that good has already won the war.

We really cannot explain why people do what they do. Were they taught to be that way? Did they assume that character, believing that it would service them and their lifestyle? Why are some more caring than others? Why do some seek to destroy while others seek to build? But we know as long as we are upon this earth waiting Christ's return, there will always be the two: good and evil. We must determine what side we are on, and not straddle the fence.

There are many of us that become disillusioned with God; not understanding His ways. We do not understand His thoughts. And therefore we do not understand why God, who says He loves us, would allow such travesties to continue to happen in our lives. God has given dominion of the earth to man. He has given each and everyone us the freedom to choose which path we walk in this life. God already knows which way a person will go. He already knows who will yield and submit. And He knows who will not. Yet He extends His love and His mercy towards us all.

Job 34:21 “For His eyes are upon the ways of man, and He seeth all his goings.”

Proverbs 5:21 “For the ways of man are before the eyes of the Lord, and He pondereth all his doings.”

Jeremiah 17:10 “I, the Lord, search the heart; I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.”

Isaiah 55:8 “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways,” saith the Lord.

We have all been extended the mercy and grace of God. But there is a time of judgment coming. When we spend too much time considering the paths of others, we may find ourselves becoming agitated, and falling short of the mark that God has called for our lives. We must continually walk in the presence and mind of Christ. We must yield to God each and every day and understand that God will take care of our enemy.

Our lives cannot be lived by what others are doing. Our walk in God cannot be predicated by the actions of another. It must be based upon our own, personal intimate relationship with the Father. Though it seems that many are getting away with evil; do not be fooled. God is not sleep. And He is moving in ways we cannot see or even understand. Our walk, however, must be our focus. We cannot save anyone else. We can share the truth of the word of God. We can lead them, and live by example. But we cannot choose a life of righteousness for no one other than ourselves. The choice will always be theirs. And for those who seem to be getting away with atrocities; know that God already knows.

Galatians 6:6-8 Let him that is taught in the Word share with him that teacheth, in all good things. Be not deceived, God is not mocked; for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

How is your heart today? What condition would the Father say your heart was in? Is their unforgiveness there? Is there malice? Is there unrepentant sins? I know for certain that this walk in Christ is not an easy walk. It has its ups and downs. It has its bumpy roads. And the road is indeed narrow. But I know it is a road that leads to life. I know that there is always help along this road. I know for certain that I am never alone, and that I can always call upon my Father. I know that whatever I need, God will provide, and that no matter what things appear to be, God already knows. And because He knows, I can place my trust in Him, and believe that He hears me each and every time, and if I walk in patience, and in faith, I will get to where I need to be and receive all that God has promised me.

Isaiah 65:24 And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

God hears you, beloved. God already knows, and He has made a way for you. Do not be distracted by the evil of others. Do not be deterred from your walk in Christ. Do not give up or lose faith because of the actions of others. I encourage you to hold on, and to know that God has worked it all out for you. Stand firm and stay focused. Continue to walk by faith and not by what it looks like. God has the final word. Good has already won. Don't believe me? Then read the Book of Revelation. It declares we win!

I decree that the spirit of peace and of prosperity have found permanent rest in your lives: spiritually, physically, emotionally, mentally, socially, and financially. Take comfort in the knowledge that God already knows, and that He has worked it all out for you. Trust God with all your heart. Continue to walk in faith. And know in your heart, that God knows just what He is doing; even when we do not. You are Blessed and favored! Now go...and Be a Blessing!

Reflections4Life: Conflict Resolution

“Conflict Resolution”

“And even if he sins against you seven times in a day, and turns to you seven times and says, I repent [I am sorry], you must forgive him (give up resentment and consider the offense as recalled and annulled).” Luke 17:4 AMP

Scripture Contemplation: Proverbs 17:9; 19:11;Ecclesiastes 10:4; Matthew 11; Acts 24; Ephesians 1; James 5...

There is so much anger circulating through our lives; in our families, our marriages, our jobs. Many are wound up tight and can explode at the slightest gesture. However, what I've come to understand is that underneath all of that anger, is hurt. Somewhere, at some time, someone was hurt. Perhaps deeply wounded. And that hurt causes anger. And until we can get to the root of the hurt, and learn that the answer to healing that hurt is forgiveness and love, we will remain in constant conflict.

I declare and decree that this week's Reflection will be a continued source of encouragement and enlightenment for your heart, mind, and soul. May you be free from all hurt and anger by allowing the spirit of forgiveness to find its place within your heart. And to learn to love in spite of and not just because of.

We miss out on so many joys in life, because we are allowing anger, resentment, and unforgiveness, keep us bound—bound to the past. Bound to the past and the people that have hurt us in some way or another. When we do not let go of the hurt, we are in constant conflict. Not just with that person we have an offense with, but with others, also. Hurt has many tentacles. It grows with every passing day we do not resolve it. It spreads like cancer throughout our lives and relationships; often times in places we would never think, taking on a new form, under a new name.

Hurt will mask itself as anger, resentment, bitterness, disinterest, hate, conflict of any sort. I am certain you've heard the saying: Hurt people, hurt people. Well, it is true. When people are hurt, whether it is on purpose or not, they will hurt others. It is a vicious cycle that can spiral out of control if the hurt is not addressed and dealt with.

Here's the solution to the hurt: forgiveness and unconditional love. Forgiveness will bring healing to the hurt and bring resolution to many conflicts. Yet, many do not understand that forgiveness is not for the offender, but it is for you; to free you and keep you from being bound. Forgiveness brings healing to the hurt and releases you from being bound to a person that hurt you. Unconditional love enables you to love the person, in spite of their actions. You do not have to like their ways. But you can love them; even if its from a distance.

Often, we will hold onto the hurt and anger as a badge to remember what we have been through. More often than not, however, the person who has hurt us doesn't remember, doesn't know, or doesn't even care. They often move on with their lives, as we stay stuck in a moment. A moment that can take over our lives, and leave us stagnated and filled with rage and anger and bitterness. A person who no one wants to be around. A person who is incapable of giving or receiving love.

James 5:16,17 “Make this your common practice: Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you can live together whole and healed. The prayer of a person living right with God is something powerful to be reckoned with.” MSG

James 1:19-21 “Post this at all the intersections, dear friends: Lead with your ears, follow up with your tongue, and let anger straggle along in the rear. God’s righteousness doesn’t grow from human anger. So throw all spoiled virtue and cancerous evil in the garbage. In simple humility, let our gardener, God, landscape you with the Word, making a salvation-garden of your life.” MSG

1 Peter 4:8 “Above all things have intense and unfailing love for one another, for love covers a multitude of sins [forgives and disregards the offenses of others].” AMP

There is a reason the Word of God admonishes us to be free of anger, to let love lead us, to have a heart of forgiveness; God knows, and we must understand that forgiveness is healing. Forgiveness releases us from that spirit of hurt that can cause us to live a life that is far less than what God has ordained for us. And to love as God loves frees us from trying to make a person someone that only can make them. All we can do is love; even it's from a distance. But when we love, we are allowing Holy Spirit to live and love through us, and we are no longer bound by the actions of another; but free to move on in our lives and will that God has ordained for us.

Don't allow the actions of another to dictate the content and quality of your life. Forgive for yourself. Free yourself from the hurt and pain. Love them in spite of. Move forward and live your life the way God has ordained. You cannot live a life that is full and rewarding if you are bound by a spirit of unforgiveness and hate. Don't allow those to have hurt you—no matter who they are—to hold you hostage to a moment in time. Release it. Release the hurt, the anger, the resentment. God has so much more for you than what you feel you may have been robbed of by another. Allow God to fill your cup, and bless you the way He desires. Forgive. Love. Move on. And receive the abundance that God has ordained for your life.

I decree that the spirit of peace and of prosperity has found permanent rest in your lives: spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, socially, and financially. Let the peace of God rest, rule and abide within you. Forgiveness is a gift and restorer for you. Walk in it, and in the love of God, and be free from the past that would try and hold you from a future that God has ordained just for you! You are Blessed. Now go...and Be a Blessing!

“Be of Good Character”

“ A thick bankroll is no help when life falls apart, but a principled life can stand up to the worst. Moral character makes for smooth traveling; an evil life is a hard life. Good character is the best insurance; crooks get trapped in their sinful lust.” Proverbs 11:4-6

Scripture Contemplation: Proverbs 8;11; 20; Matthew 7:15-20; Matthew 13; 1 Timothy 4; 2 Peter 1...

How would you define your character? How would others define your character? Often times we see ourselves in an obscured light. But, when we have Christ on the inside, and we yield to His character, our character becomes of a reflection of that which resides within our heart. God desires that we be of good character. That, we walk in righteousness and allow Christ in us to live.

I declare and decree that this week's Reflections will be a continued source of encouragement and inspiration for your heart, mind, and soul. Allow God to lead you, and allow Christ within to shine without. Let your character be above reproach. Be diligent in your word. Allow people to see Christ in you, so that they may want to know Him, too.

We fall short often. We proclaim that we are children of God; believers of the word; that we walk in the love of Christ. Yet, many of us have characters that leave a lot to be desired. Can we be honest with each other? Can we tell the truth and shame the devil—as the old folks would say? There are many of us saying that we love the Lord with all our heart. That, we are believers in the body of Christ. Yet, our character sucks! There...I said it! Some of us have characters that leave a lot to be desired. And we do not look anything or sound anything like Christ—who we profess to love and represent.

There was a time when we would be in church, and we were shining lights of the goodness and character of Jesus, then waited until we were outside of church to act a fool. Now, even in church, we are acting less that Christ-like. We are displaying characters that are far from what God would call righteous or holy or Christ-like. We are mean and bitter towards one another. We harbor ill-will and hold un-forgiveness like a badge of honor. Where did we get off track?

Our character must be one above reproach. When we say we are believers; when we say we love the Lord; when we say we want to attract all that is good, and righteous, and holy; then we must be first in representing that which we desire to receive from others. We must be who we say we are.

There are far too many imposters running around claiming that they know the Lord, and represent Him. There are wolves in sheep clothing coming to fleece the flock. There are imposters posing as true believers and lovers of God and the word, just to steal, kill, and rob the children of God, and destroy those who are seeking to know God. It is easy for many of them to slip in unnoticed, because too many of us that believe in the Lord, have accepted Christ as our Savior, have been living a lie. We, ourselves, have not totally surrendered to God. We have not yielded our all to the Father. We have been living as the Laodiceans—lukewarm. Our character has been less than godly. We have not honored our word to others, to God, to ourselves. We have been poor representations of Christ. And because of this, we have created open doors for the enemy to slip in.

If we, who say we love the Lord, behave in such a manner that is unbecoming and far from the character of Christ; how can we possibly be a shining light for those who need the Lord? For those that are seeking the Father? For those who are on the brink of losing their very life?

How many times have we heard people say: If that's what it means to be a Christian, I don't want any parts of it! I know I have many times. Why? Because many of us who call ourselves believers are not living the word. Our character leaves much to be desired. We are not representing the Father.

1 Corinthians 15:33-34 (ASV) “Be not deceived: Evil companionships corrupt good morals. Awake to soberness righteously, and sin not; for some have no knowledge of God: I speak this to move you to shame.”

Matthew 5:13-14 “Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost its savor, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out and trodden under foot of men. Ye are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hid.”

We must be of good character. Character in the Bible is synonymous with righteousness. When we walk in righteousness, not with a righteous attitude—there is a difference—we are exemplifying the light of Christ. We are allowing Christ to live in us. We are seeking to please the Lord, and to live a life that is holy and acceptable unto God. Walking in righteousness is submitting all to the Father, and walking this path that will draw others in, and allow us to witness of the goodness of God. We are not judgmental, contentious, back-biting, unforgiving; but we are loving, understanding, forgiving, and uncompromising, and keepers of our word. We seek and strive to walk in integrity at all times.

It is imperative that we understand that our character says a lot about who we are and who we represent. Often times we profess one thing with our mouths, but our actions are speaking something totally different. For those of us who truly say we love the Lord, and that we represent Him, we must truly live it. There are far too many coming in the name of God, who are not of God, while those of us who say we truly love the Lord, have not been living a life that is acceptable to God. We have been lukewarm in our faith and in our relationship. Because of this, the enemy has been able to come in and wreak havoc on many souls.

It is time to stand up. To stand in righteousness. To repent, confess, and do what God has called us to do. It is time to not only speak the word, but live it and become the word. To, allow the Christ in us to to live, so that we may draw others to Him, and see them receive all that God has ordained for them. We often forget: we may be the only Jesus that some may ever see. So...what is your life saying?

I decree that the spirit of peace and of prosperity has found permanent rest in your lives: spiritually, physically, emotionally, mentally, socially, and financially. Be of good character. Represent the Father well. Be the light that leads many to the throne of grace. Be the salt that adds flavor to the life of many. Be the ambassadors of Christ that represent Him well, in love, light, and truth. The ball is in your court. You are Blessed. Now go...and Be a Blessing.

Reflections4Life: Who Do You Love?

“Who Do You Love?”

“We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.” 1 John 4:16

Scripture Contemplation: Genesis 22; Genesis 29; Proverbs 3; Matthew 5; John 3; 1 Corinthians 13...

Who do you love? You really don't have to answer that. Your actions will speak for you. Your actions will tell the story of what and who resides in your heart. Some people can hide the truth for a while; but eventually all light stands out from darkness, and the truth about how you really feel will come to light.

I declare and decree that this week's Reflections will be a continued source of encouragement and enlightenment for your heart, mind, and soul. Let the love of God fill you and penetrate every part of your soul, so that you may know how to love the way the Father loves. And know how to receive love, as well.

Many use the word love frivolously. I love this. I love that. I love movies. I love dessert. I love. I love. I love. Yet, our actions are speaking volumes concerning who we really love. Love is more than just an emotion. It is a force. It is power. It is the embodiment of God here in this earth. And when we really understand how precious and powerful love is; we'd be less likely to be frivolous in its use. And we would honor love by showing and giving love as God has commanded.

People are making choices every single day based upon how they feel at any given moment. They are saying with their mouths how much they love. How much they love their families, their spouse, their children, their career. Yet, the actions they are putting forth does not speak of love. Their actions are not reflecting the love they say they have in their hearts. Instead, what is being reflected is a spirit of selfishness, low self-esteem, resentfulness, animosity, sorrow, shame, and sometimes hate.

Matthew 6:20-22 “20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

We are making life choices based upon what is residing in our hearts. What we treasure the most will be found in the core of our hearts. And that is what will occupy our time, energy and efforts. What do you treasure today? What is it that has a hold of your heart, that you will be willing to lay down your life if it came to that?

Many can walk around and speak words that sound lovely and correct. They may even be able to fool some people for some time. But you can never fool God. The Father knows our hearts. He knows where our treasure lies. He knows what is on our priority list. He knows how weak or how strong our love is. And He reaches towards us each and every day. Every day when we arise, it is a gift from God, and Him reaching toward us, so that He may fill us with Himself.

But we have rejected the Father. Our actions have dismissed the hand of God. Many have assumed that they can walk in this earth and do what they like, and no one would be the wiser of who they really are and what they really believe. Not true. Because the actions we take today have consequences for others tomorrow. Whether we see it or not, or acknowledge it.

Who do you love? Do you love God? Do you love your family? Do you love your friends? Do you love yourself? The truth is, many of us cannot give love or receive love or reciprocate love, because we do not love ourselves. How can you love anyone else when you have no love for yourself? How can receive or accept love, and believe in love, when you have trouble loving who you are? And that, my Beloveds, is at the core of so many who profess to love, but actions speak otherwise. This is why so many people can hurt their loved ones, and make poor decisions, because they lack self love. And without self love, you do not have the ability to recognize what is best or good for self. You make poor decisions that can have devastating consequences for those we you say you do love.

1 John 4:15-16 “Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. 16 And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.”

Beloved, if we confess that we believe in God, and that God is in us, then we must know that love is within us. And if God, who is love, resides in us, then how can we not love ourselves? God has poured His love in us. He has poured into us who and everything that He is. And because of this love; regardless to what life we have lived before accepting Christ, that love, God love, is residing within us. And if we open ourselves to that redemptive and healing love, then we will be able to not only love who we are, but love others the way God desires us to love.

Who do you love? Love is powerful. Love is healing. Love is delivering. Love is consuming. Love can change things in a moments time. Love is long-suffering. Love is patient. Love is kind. Love is selfless. Love is forgiving.

1 Corinthians 13:1-2 “Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. 2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.”

Let the love of God fill you today. Let God fill you. Let Him pour Himself into every part of you; restoring your heart and soul. Healing the wounds of your past. Bringing deliverance to those areas you have never spoken about or shared with anyone. Let the Father into your secret place of pain and shame, so that He may bless you with beauty for your ashes, and double anointing for your shame. Let love in today so that you may be free to love the way God has ordained you to love. And that you may love yourself and God that is in you.

I decree that the spirit of peace and of prosperity has found permanent rest in your life: spiritually, physically, emotionally, mentally, socially, and financially. Let God in. Let Him pour Himself into your heart and soul, and fill you with that love that consumes and restores and redeems, so that you may love yourself, and others unhindered and completely, just as God loves. You are Blessed. Now go...and Be a Blessing!

“I knew that You always hear Me; but because of the people standing around I said it, so that they may believe that You sent Me.” When He had said these things, He cried out with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come forth.” The man who had died came forth, bound hand and foot with wrappings, and his face was wrapped around with a cloth. Jesus said to them, “Unbind him, and let him go.” John 11:42-44 NASB

The Father has loosed you from your grave clothes. When Jesus was resurrected, you were resurrected with Him. It is time for you to live. To live for Christ. To live your lives. To live it abundantly.

I declare and decree that this week's Reflections will be a continued source of encouragement and inspiration for your heart, mind, and soul. You are blessed today because God has spoken it. May you understand this week just how much God loves you, and has already prepared a way for you, so that you may live this life to the fullest.

What are you waiting for? What is it that is keeping you from living your life? What has you bound today? God has decreed that you are no longer bound. Every chain, every bondage has been loosed by the death and resurrection of Christ. It is time for you to live.

Many of us wait for circumstances and situations to be “just” right before we extend ourselves, or begin to do things that we enjoy and love. Some of us have been waiting a long time for conditions to be the way we desire before we start to live our lives. To start doing the things we have been holding and planning in our hearts to do.

Guess what? If you continue to wait for everything to line up just right, you may be waiting for an eternity. Life will pass you by, and you will have nothing but regrets; wishing you would have just taken that first step—that step of faith.

We have a list of things and ideas that we want to accomplish in our lifetime. But everything will not always line up the way we desire before we start living the life we desire. We just have to begin living out our dreams now. When God is for you and has ordained you, and has blessed you; you do not have to wait for the situation to be just right. All you need is the green light from God, and go forth!

I can guarantee that there will be times when God will tell you to go forth now, and you will look at the circumstances, and they will not be conducive to what you want to do. In fact, it will seem impossible for you to do what God is telling you to do. But that is how God does it most times. This is a faith walk. To live our lives to the fullest will require that we walk by faith and not by sight. It will require us to know and understand that God will call upon you to go forth, and you may not have support, finances, or the knowledge to do so. All you will have is the word of God. All you will have is His promises to provide, and guide you. When God gives you a vision, He will be your provision.

So many of us spend our lives wishing, hoping, and dreaming. At some point we have to start being and doing, or we will miss many opportunities. It is time for you to live, beloved. It is time for you to come forth, and shake the remnants of the shackles off (Because God has already broken the chains) and begin to live your life; your abundant life.

Galatians 2:20 My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.

It is time to allow Christ in you full reign of your heart, and to allow Him to live through you. He will show you how to walk in your abundant life. The enemy wants to keep us bound by situations and circumstances. He [enemy] desires for us to be filled with anxiety, fear, and self-doubt. Binding us, and eventually destroying our dreams, and killing our spirits, and even our very lives.

Yet, God has said that you shall live and not die if you believe on Him. The Father assures us that the enemy has no power to defeat us when we are walking in relationship with the Father, abiding by His will, and living our lives as He has ordained.

Just as with Lazarus, God is calling us to come forth. He is calling us to live our lives now. To, follow in His path of righteousness and holiness. To, release the fears and to take our eyes off of the flesh and the seemingly impossible, and put them on Him, and believe with every fiber of our being the word that He has spoken over our lives.

At some point we have to be the one that makes that decision to go forth. We have to be the one that decides that regardless of our present situation or conditions, that we will and can live. Live for Christ. Live our lives. And believe with all our hearts that God will make the necessary changes in our lives, as long as we are seeking to please Him, and living for Him.

Here is what I know for certain: No matter the condition of your life right now. No matter the hardships, or limitations—be it physical or financial—when you make up your mind and heart to go forth and live your life, live for Christ and put your best forth; God will indeed take care of the rest. When your focus becomes the will of God, and not your lack or limitations; you will see God move on your behalf in the supernatural. We often say we are waiting on God. But the truth is: God is waiting on us. Waiting for us to push forward in faith and to trust Him with our everything.

It's time to live, beloved. It is time to come out of those grave clothes, and begin truly trusting in God, and living your life right where you are at. God has you, and He will never leave you. And, He has already freed you. It's up to you, now, to begin walking in that freedom.

I decree that the spirit of peace and of prosperity has found permanent rest in your life: spiritually, physically, emotionally, mentally, socially, and financially. Live. Your. Life. God has untied the binds. He has released you from the past. It is time to live your abundant life. Not by what you see or feel; but by the word of God that has been already decreed over you. Let Christ in you arise and live. This is your time! You are Blessed. Now go...and Be a Blessing!

Scripture Contemplation: Luke 6; Romans 5; 1 Corinthians 13; Jude...

What keeps you going? What inspires you each and everyday to keep moving forward; even when things are difficult? Why do you do the things you do and say things you say? What is your purpose for doing the things you do?

I have learned that unless what I am doing is coming from a place of love, or for love, it holds no value or substance. And soon, I find myself tiring and wanting to move on. I have also found myself complaining about a situation or task, if in my heart the motive has not come from a place of love. What I've come to understand, is that love must be the foundation for all that I do. Every task, whether big or small, must be a labor of love.

I declare and decree that this week's Reflections will be a continued source of encouragement and inspiration for your heart, mind, and soul. Walk in the goodness and love of Christ. Let love guide you, teach you, and comfort you. Let your every motive be birthed from love.

This walk, this Christian walk must be a labor of love. That is the only way to walk this walk of salvation—in love. Any other way, and we are just a walking bag of bones, making loud noise and fruitless efforts that make no difference in the lives of those we come in contact with.

There are many reasons that we can come up with to excuse ourselves from acting from a place of love. Trust me; I know. For example: People are hard to love. These people are hateful. Why should I show love when they have disrespected me, talked about me, rejected me, hated me? They are unlovable. They will never believe. They call themselves Christians (uh-huh!) They aren't acting like believers. They don't treat me well. The hate God. What difference would it make; they're never going to change? They don't love me.

Here's what I know for certain, beloved: It is not about them or their actions. It is about you and your relationship with God. The Father is calling us to walk and act in love; even when it hurts to do so. And the best way I have learned to do this, is to do it as though I am doing it unto God. We have to learn to love, and to act from a place of love based upon our love for the Father. Act in such a way that you know God would find it acceptable and pleasing to Him; even if you are still rejected, despised, and talked about. Hey—it happened to Jesus, and we are not exempt.

This walk we are in with Christ is about love. It was always about love, and will always be about love. And if we cannot understand that, and operate from a place of that godly love; then we will view the tasks ahead of us more like a laborious chore. Much like a young student views the loads of homework they get in school, until they come to the realization that the homework they are given is only to prepare them for what comes next in their young lives.

I sometimes wonder what if Christ had the attitude that we sometimes have. How doomed we would be! It was a labor of love that brought Jesus here. It was love that had Him give His life. It was love that He went to the Cross. It was love that He bore those stripes upon His body. It was love that He withstood the rejection. It was love that He poured out everything He had to ensure we had a place in the Kingdom.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

It was a definite labor of love for Jesus to leave His home in glory, to come to an earth that must have been a stench to His nostrils with its foul odor of sin assaulting His nostrils every time He took a breath in. But for the love; the love of the lost who despised and rejected Him, He came to be that final sacrifice that would seal our fate to His for all eternity, for everyone that would believe in Him and receive. That's love.

There are times in my life that I feel overwhelmed. I feel as though I have nothing left to give, or the energy to push forward. But then I think on Jesus. I think of all He has done for me, and my love for Him pushes me forward. It corrects me when I get out of line. It chastises me when my motives are wrong. It reminds me of the Who and why I do what I do, and that it must come from that place of His unfailing and unconditional love.

This walk that we are in is a labor of love. We will not always feel like we can give our best. We will sometimes feel unappreciated. We will sometimes experience rejection and hate. However, it does not give us permission to act out of any other place than that of love.

We can give. We can do. We spend. We can buy. We can act like we care. We can have a form of godliness, and dress the part. But unless we come from a place of love; unconditional, God love. Then it is all in vain, and we really have done a disservice to those we come in contact with.

Only the love of God can change lives. Only what we do in love will last and make a difference. Even in our own personal walk, and our lives. All that we do must come from a place of love. If you do not love what you do, you will get tired eventually. If you do not carry out your daily tasks in love; sooner or later you will tire and become dissatisfied with your life.

Life, my beloveds, is a labor of love unto itself. If we do not love our life, we will be constantly seeking, searching for fulfillment in many places. When you learn to love the very life you have, you will see the road before you shift, and doors open to you that you never even knew existed. Give your best to where you are right now. Live and love to its fullest. Give God praise for the precious gift of breath. Walk in love, His love. And watch God move on your behalf.

I decree that the spirit of peace and of prosperity has found permanent rest in your lives: spiritually, physically, emotionally, mentally, socially, and financially. Let the love of God rule in your hearts. Walk in love. Let everything you do come from a place of love. Let your life be a labor of love. You are Blessed. Now go...and Be a Blessing!

Reflections4Life: Are You A Joseph?

“Are You A Joseph?”

“And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them.” Deuteronomy 28:13

Scripture Contemplation: Genesis 37; 41; 42; Deuteronomy 28; Psalm 37; Matthew 6; Philippians 4...

There are those of us that dream big. Our vision is far beyond what most can even imagine—even family members. And when we begin to share what is in our hearts, more often than not, we will find opposition rather than agreement.

I declare and decree that this week's Reflections will be a continued source of encouragement and food for your heart, mind, and soul. Be bold in your walk in God. Declare and decree the things that God has spoken of you. Do not back down to opposition, but know that it will come. Let it strengthen you and cause you to seek the Lord even more. God desires to use you; even in the lives of those that have opposed you and hurt you.

Are you a Joseph? Did God give you a vision, a dream that is far beyond what you could have ever imagined? Did you share that dream and vision with your loved ones and be looked at as though you were insane? Did your vision cause disruption, bring opposition, cause you to see less than the favorable side of character of your loved ones? If you answered yes to any of these, then you are a Joseph!

Genesis 37:5-11 5 Now Joseph had a dream, and he told it to his brothers; and they hated him even more. 6 So he said to them, “Please hear this dream which I have dreamed: 7 There we were, binding sheaves in the field. Then behold, my sheaf arose and also stood upright; and indeed your sheaves stood all around and bowed down to my sheaf.” 8 And his brothers said to him, “Shall you indeed reign over us? Or shall you indeed have dominion over us?” So they hated him even more for his dreams and for his words. 9 Then he dreamed still another dream and told it to his brothers, and said, “Look, I have dreamed another dream. And this time, the sun, the moon, and the eleven stars bowed down to me.” 10 So he told it to his father and his brothers; and his father rebuked him and said to him, “What is this dream that you have dreamed? Shall your mother and I and your brothers indeed come to bow down to the earth before you?” 11 And his brothers envied him, but his father kept the matter in mind.

Wow! Talk about hating! But those of us who have been walking in the Lord, and have been walking in obedience understand that “haters” will come; even in our own family. It always seems to be the ones closest to us, the ones we love the most.

Here is what I have come to understand and know for sure: God will use the opposition to propel us into the position that we need to be in, in order for His vision and purpose in our life to come to pass. What's the saying: haters are going to hate? Well it's true. Yet, God is still God, and there is nothing that can stop the will and plan of God for our lives from coming to fruition, unless we remove ourselves or walk away from the Lord, and walk in disobedience.

God will and has used the enemy to catapult us into the place in which we need to be, so that He may bless us as He desires. Let's face it; there are some things about our character and our behavior that can be a hindrance to what God desires to make happen in our lives. There are some things about ourselves that need to be checked before we can walk in the fullness of God, and the visions that He has given to us.

Being a Joseph is more than just being someone that has dreams and a vision. It is more than just being hated upon and receiving opposition from those closest to you. Being a Joseph is being able to go through the process of being stripped of your flaws, of human pride, of being made humbled, and learning to look to God for all things, and not making a move until God says so.

In being a Joseph, it is not just coming from the “pit to the palace” like so many have preached. No. It is being able to withstand what happens in the middle; the process between the pit and the palace, and the ability to rise above hurt feelings, not yielding to emotions, and walking in the anointing of God, full of forgiveness and kindness; being able to be in the position to bring aid to the very ones that tried to destroy you, and left you for dead, without holding animosity. The ability to love in spite of and not because of. Being a Joseph is allowing the Christ in you to rise up and live.

Is that you today? Have you been rejected, scoffed at, opposed, lied on, falsely accused, deserted, abandoned by your family, sold out for money, left for dead, outcast, imprisoned, forgotten, despised; but you still dream, you still have vision, you're still holding on to what God has spoken to you, you still love those that hurt you?

Is this you? Then know this: God has anointed you today. He has chosen you to stand and to be the person in your family that brings healing and aid to them. God is using YOU; the one thought the least of; the one rejected, and abandoned to bring about healing and deliverance to the very ones that hurt you the most.

Don't allow the process to rob you of your vision or belief. Do not allow the rejection and opposition of those you love to deter you, or stop you from trusting and believing God. Joseph was given a gift from God. God trusted Joseph to go through what he went through, knowing that He could trust Joseph, and use him for His glory, and to bring salvation to a nation.

Joseph was a spoiled and prideful child. He was favored of Jacob. Jacob doted upon him, and that caused friction and jealousy amongst his brothers. Yet, there was something special about Joseph. And God used the actions of Joseph's brothers to bring about a plan that would cause a maturity and strength in Joseph that was needed. It caused the man in Joseph to rise; the visionary to come forth. It caused Joseph to call upon his God in a land that knew not his God. Joseph became a blessing even in the enemy's camp. God promoted him within to bless those without.

Know this beloved: whatsoever it is you are faced with today, do not allow it to keep you from seeking God and believing in what God has spoken to you. No matter how long the wait for the manifestation; continue to walk in the knowledge and preparation that today is the day that it comes to pass. Be ready. Forgive those that have hurt you, rejected you, opposed you. And learn to say thank you to your haters. For God is using them to propel you where He has ordained you to be, from the beginning.

I decree that the spirit of peace and of prosperity has found a permanent rest in your lives: spiritually, physically, emotionally, mentally, socially, and financially. Are you a Joseph? Continue to believe in the Lord and His purpose and plan for your life. Let God use you. You are the instrument that God has chosen to bless your family; to bring deliverance to a nation. Forgive. Love. And move forward in the Lord. He has anointed you to go through, and you are victorious! You are Blessed! Now go...and Be that Blessing!

Keep Believing!

*TESTIMONY*

There is going to come a time when you are going to have to lay everything on the line. You will come to a place where you are going to have to choose to believe regardless to what you can see with your natural eyes. You will have to come to the decision to trust God where you cannot trace Him. To believe His word and His promises to you, just as much as you believe in the air that surrounds you keeps you breathing. Even when EVERYONE around you has failed you and let you down; even when those you love and trust wound you the deepest; even when you have given it your all and you are totally spent—you are going to come to place when you know, without a doubt, that this is what true faith is really about. Believing God to do just what He said, no matter how long the answers take.

I give God the praise for answered prayer. I am here to tell you. YES YOU!!! The one who has stopped believing. The one who has given up. The one who has lost faith. The one who cannot see a tomorrow. GOD is real, and He answers prayers. He may not answer you in the way you were expecting. He may not move on your time table. The blessings may not be in the form you are expecting. But you can best believe—God is answering.

I thank the Lord tonight for holding me when I felt I was losing control. For keeping me sane when I thought my mind would go. For protecting my heart when I thought it would bleed out. For charging and stirring my faith, and for directing my path, and for putting up with all my questions, and loving me in spite of. I thank the Lord for loving me so. I thank Him for His directions; His instructions for His perfect plan.

God is amazing. This journey of life is beyond whatever I can imagine. And I thank God for every, single moment He grants me upon this earth. God gave me some instructions. He told me exactly what to do. Even in my uncertainty, I just followed through. Hey, He's God! He has a proven track record! Step by step, I obeyed. One week passed. Then two. A month came and gone, and nothing. FOUR MONTHS, and it came to pass! THANK YOU JESUS! God did that thing!

I encourage you to hold on and keep believing. No matter how long the wait; believe in what God has spoken. Follow His instructions. Do exactly what He says, how He says to do it. Trust: God knows just what He is doing!

Reflections4Life: Let The Healing Begin

“Let The Healing Begin”

“He healeth the broken in heart, And bindeth up their wounds.” Psalm 147:3

Scripture Contemplation: 2 Chronicles 7:14; Job 5; Psalm 30:2; 147; Luke 9; John 5; 1 Peter 2:24

Many of us are walking around with wounded hearts, wounded souls, wounded spirits. Our wounds are so deep and so painful, that they are affecting our physical and mental health. Today is your day to let the healing begin. God has called for you to be made whole. He desires to heal every wound, bring peace to your heart and mind, and wholeness to you once again. Will you allow Him that today?

I decree and declare that this week's Reflections will be a continued source of encouragement and inspiration for your heart, mind and soul. This is your day to be healed. This is the hour for your healing to manifest. For, you to receive the wholeness that you have been seeking, and the answers to your prayers.

Not accepting or living the truth can cause pain and deep wounds. A lie is never good. Whether we are telling a lie to others, or to ourselves, or if we cannot accept the truth or live our truth; we are creating not only wounds in ourselves, but wounds in others. The truth will always set us free; even if the truth is painful. As well, we really have no control over other people's actions. People will be people, and their actions can and do affect others. The consequences of other people's actions can often bring hurt, harm, and deep wounds for those of us that are apart of their lives, or who are innocently in the vicinity of what's taking place.

God desires for us to be whole and to walk in our healing. He desires to bind up every wound and restore our hearts and our faith. Yet, the healing process doesn't always look like we expect it to. And, the healing process itself can be sometimes painful. However, with God on our side, we can and will make it through to the other side of the pain and wounds, and walk in our healing and deliverance.

Truth Be Told

The truth can hurt, but it is also healing and liberating. There is a truth that has to be spoken and realized. We must be in a place to hear God's truth concerning ourselves and others. Many of the wounds we have, have been inflicted by our own actions. When we do not accept the truth, or receive what God is saying and have been disobedient, we open ourselves to the consequences; consequences that could have been avoided had we listened to God and received His truth.

How many of us can testify to doing the opposite of what God spoke to our hearts? I can. How often has the Father spoke the truth to our spirit concerning a person, place or thing, but we ignored His warning and truth, and allowed our flesh and emotions to lead us on a path that was not ordained by God? Do recall the truth He was telling us about that man, or woman? How about that road not to follow, or that job not to take, or that advice not to follow? Yes. God has spoken to us many a time, trying to keep us from harms way. But we rejected His truth, because we allowed our flesh to overrule the spirit. And because of this, we are faced with the consequences of our actions. And it is indeed a painful and hurtful lesson that we often learn. Leaving us with scars and wounds. And for some, the scars and wounds are so deep, that we have a hard way of seeing our way out.

Repent. That is the beginning of your healing. And as you deal with the consequence of your actions, learn to forgive yourself. Stop beating yourself up. God has forgiven you, and it is time to forgive yourself so that your healing can fully manifest. Don't allow the enemy to hold your past against you. In whatever form he comes in: your thoughts, people, memories—move forward with the confidence that God has forgiven you, and you have a brand new day ahead of you, with the life lessons you have gained to keep you from making the same choices.

Forgiveness Is Key

Perhaps you have been wounded by someone you love. Maybe you have been wounded by the church or those professing to know the Lord, and you find yourself unable to trust anyone. Give that to God also. Chances are great that we will not escape this life without being wounded or greatly disappointed by someone we love and hold in high regards. If it happened to Jesus, then you can believe that it will happen to you, too.

Forgive. Forgive that person for what they have done to you. Not for them, but for yourself. I can tell you now; that person or persons may never change. They may continue to be who they are. But you do not have to allow yourself to be bound any longer by their actions. When we do not forgive, those emotions begin to foster bitterness and anger in our heart and soul. And once bitterness and anger unchecked takes up residence, it blocks us from receiving what God has ordained for us. It blocks our blessings, and immobilizes us. We cannot move forward, and become stuck in a place and time. All the while, the person who has hurt you has moved on.

Free yourself. Understand that hurt people hurt people. And chances are good that if you hold on to that pain and anger, and you do not forgive, you will become just like that person and begin to hurt others; whether you meant to or not. It is a debilitating cycle that can be cut off with your one decision to forgive.

A Painful Process

Beloved, you are right on the edge of your breakthrough. You are closer than you think to your healing manifesting, and your prayers being answered. How can I be so certain? Because I have been where you are more than once. Because I know that God desires you to be whole and complete, and your prayers to be answered.

Have you ever had a wound that when you went to the doctor, the treatment for the wound seemed to cause more pain? Or, what about a broken arm, leg or nose? Oftentimes for correct healing to take place, the doctor has to either reset or break the bone again in order for proper healing to take place. It is very painful, but in the end, the bones or the nose heals properly.

You've listened, and have been obedient. You have accepted the truth, told the truth, repented, and even have forgiven. But still, the pain lingers and the heart still aches. The Father says to you today: let the healing begin. Part of the healing process can be painful and uncomfortable.

It is a process, beloved. But you can be assured that God is there with you. And He is bringing you through. And once you set in your heart and mind following what God has spoken, and to believe what He has spoken to you; your tests will soon be your testimonies. Those wounds will become a banner by which you can tell another brother or sister that God will do the same for them, as He did for you. So, do not give up. Though the pain seems unbearable right now, know that God will do just what He said, and He is bringing you through this, making you stronger, and wiser for the purpose He has ordained for your life.

I decree that the spirit of peace and of prosperity has found permanent rest in your life: spiritually, physically, emotionally, mentally, socially, and financially. Be encouraged. Your healing has begun. Let the truth be in your heart and mouth. Walk in forgiveness. Trust the process. God knows just what He is doing. Be made whole today by the truth of what God has spoken to you. You are Blessed. Now go...and Be a Blessing!

Be encouraged! Be encouraged! Be encouraged! Know that the Father in Heaven has not forgotten or abandoned you. Stand firm and know within your heart, that the fulfillment of His word in your life is soon coming to pass.

I declare and decree that this week's Reflections will be a continued source of encouragement and inspiration for your heart, mind, and soul. Be encouraged today through the word of God. Stand on His word and promises. Encourage yourself in the word this week, and do not let go of what God has spoken concerning your life.

How much weight does the word of God hold in your life? How much power does it hold for you? For so many, we have forgotten the word of God. We have long forgotten the promises He has made unto us because the trials of this life have overwhelmed us. We have become discouraged with the passing of time; believing that if what God said was going to happen, it should have happened by now. And because of these thoughts, we prolong the manifestations of His word coming to pass in our lives.

The spirit of discouragement has seized many of hearts. So much so that we have lost sight of the promises of God. We have become lax in our intimate time with God. We no longer read or study the word, or go before Him in prayer. Our internal conversations have become one of doubt and negativity.

It is so very easy to lose our sight when we take our eyes off of God. We live in a world that is ruled by negativity. It thrives on destruction and bad news. Seldom do we see things of encouragement outweighing that of negative feedback. This creates a bleak picture. And should we dwell on these things, we too will soon have a negative outlook and give up on what God has promised us.

I want to encourage you today to stand strong on the promises of God. Do not give in to your feelings. Emotions are subject to change. They are like a pendulum that can swing either way depending upon the current winds. Stand firm in your faith. Do not go by what it looks like or feels like. But instead, walk and go by the word of God and what He has spoken concerning you.

Surround yourself with positive energy. Surround yourself with like-minded people. It is a fact that when we continue to associate with negative people, we tend to be influenced more by their negativity than they are by our positivity.

Speak to your heart and to the atmosphere the promises of God. Say it out loud each and every day. Write it out. Put it in places that you can see so that you will be constantly reminded of what God has said concerning you.

Beloved, the enemy, our adversary, is continually seeking to destroy us. He lies in wait waiting to pounce on us at any given sign of an opening. He presses in on all sides, whispering lies into our ears, stirring up controversy and negativity, and often coming as an angel of light to deceive us. His goal is to move us; to move us out of a position of receiving what God has ordained for us. He wants us destroyed, busted, broken, and out of focus.

1 Peter 5:8 “Be sober, be watchful: your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour...”

1 John 10:10 “The thief cometh not, but that he may steal, and kill, and destroy: I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.”

Beloved, the enemy has already lost! And he knows this! But he will use every weapon in his arsenal to come at us and try to get us to forfeit the blessings and promises of God. His mission is to steal, kill, and destroy. To steal your dreams and visions; to kill you before you had the chance to live; to destroy your happiness and your peace of mind and your will to go forward! Don't you let him do that when God came to give you life, and life abundantly!

This life, even through its challenges and adversities, was meant to be lived with joy and love and hope! God sent Jesus for this purpose: that you would have eternal life. That, you would be redeemed by His blood. And that, on this earth, while we tarry, we would live an abundant life filled with love, joy, peace, and grace; even in the midst of the trials that come our way.

Be encouraged today. Be encouraged that troubles don't last always, and that joy comes in the morning! Be confident in the promises of God. Stay firmly planted in the word of God. Do not slack in your intimate time with the Father! It is your key to holding on and forging ahead through all the crap the enemy tries to send your way. For, those that keep their mind stayed on Christ will be kept in perfect peace. And those that stay at the feet of Jesus, know and understand that the battle is not ours, it is the Lord's!

Beloved, God got us! He has us. Yes; the devil is going to try everything he can do to discourage you and try to knock you off the path of righteousness. And if he could, he would take you out and destroy everything you ever hoped and believed for, and have you believe that he is the winner and you are the loser! But glory to God! The devil remains a liar, and we have already won! The enemy has no power except the power you give him. Stand your ground against the devil. Be encouraged in the word and promises of God. Keep your focus on God and not the circumstances, and stand firm in the word of God! He got you!

The Father is not slacking concerning His promises to you! He is answering. The manifestations are taking place. And know that God has already declared you the winner. I've read the book, and I know that we win!

I decree that the spirit of peace and of prosperity has found permanent rest in your lives: spiritually, physically, emotionally, mentally, socially, and financially. Be encouraged today! Stand firm on the word of God. Do not give in to the taunts and lies of the enemy. Continually speak the word of God, and let Jesus answer the door when the enemy comes knocking! Believe the report of the Lord! You win! You are Blessed! Now go...and Be a Blessing!

Reflections4Life: Call Unto God

“Call Unto God”

“This is God’s Message, the God who made earth, made it livable and lasting, known everywhere as God: ‘Call to me and I will answer you. I’ll tell you marvelous and wondrous things that you could never figure out on your own.” Jeremiah 33:2-3 MSG

Scripture Contemplation:Judges 16:27-29; 2 Samuel 22; 1 Kings 18; Psalm 18;37; Hebrews 5:6-8...

Have you ever had those times in your life when you are so overwhelmed and you just do not know what to do or where to go? I know I have. And it is in those times that I cry out even the more, and call unto my God who I know has the answers. Even if the answers are not the ones I was expecting or recognize.

I declare and decree that this week's Reflections will be a continued source of encouragement and inspiration for your heart, mind, and soul. Call unto God and He will answer you. Go before Him with an open heart, and allow Him to fill you and direct your paths. Trust Him; He knows what is best for you. Learn to trust Him where you cannot trace Him.

There are just times when we really do not know which way to go. We do not see a way out of our situation. Many have come to the end of their ropes and are just about ready to let go and give up. Don't! Do not let go unless you are letting it all go into the hands of God! Do not give up and walk away and do something that you may regret because the road ahead of you seems to be so dark, or the road you're on just seems to be too much to bear. God has you, beloved! He has you, and this is where you must call unto Him, and believe that He will answer you and deliver you. You just have to believe and hold on. Even in the darkness.

Isaiah 65:24 “Before they call out, I’ll answer. Before they’ve finished speaking, I’ll have heard.”

God has you, beloved. He knows all about you. He has answered your prayers before you even asked them. Before you even finish speaking it, He has already heard you. How many of us truly believe that God has heard our prayers and that He is answered? How many of us can honestly say that our level of faith is still in the same place when we encounter very difficult times? Or, when we have been waiting and waiting for the promises to come to pass? Has your faith grown or faltered? Tough times will come, and they will try your faith and bring forth what's really in your heart.

I love the Lord. I love Him with every fiber of my being. And I am the first to admit that there were times when my faith was shaken. It wasn't taken, but it was definitely shaken. From all that I had endured, and all the heartache and tests and trials; I began to wonder if I missed something? Was there something that I wasn't doing? Did I miss the mark? Was my faith really not strong enough? Then the Lord let me know, that there are times when our faith will be tested. We will go through moments of stretching and pain, and grief, but we must know to call unto Him, and allow Him to stretch our faith, and grow our faith in these times of adversity.

The saying is true: No pain, no gain. Even in our walk with the Lord. Jesus was not exempt, and neither will we be. There will be trials and hard times in this life. However, they will never outweigh the love and joy and the victory that is in this life, if we would believe and hold on and trust God. And learn to call unto Him first and foremost. Our faith is strengthened through adversity. The tests and trials allow us to see what is in our hearts and what we truly believe.

Do you call unto God first when something happens, and you don't know what to do? Or, do you seek the counsel of man, asking your family, friends, counselors, etc., for answers and direction? Our first call should be unto God. He is there waiting for us to just ask Him; to call upon His name and seek Him so that He may show us what to do; where to go, and what steps to take, and even whose counsel to seek.

So often, God is the last one we call upon. We often go to God last, after we have gone to everyone else seeking for the answers that only God has. We must learn to go to God first in all things; whether they be big or small, we need to take them all to the Lord. We must seek out God; seek His will and answers concerning our lives and the road we need to be taking. God should be the first stop, not the last.

I know this, beloved, that God has something wonderful to tell us when we come to Him. He has the answers that we seek, to the questions in our lives. He has the solutions to the difficulties we may be facing. And He wants to be our first call so that He may direct our paths and lead us to the right place and people. If only we would trust the counsel of God and believe that He has what is best.

I know for certain that the enemy revels in the fact when we do not seek out God. For even He knows that those who seek first the Kingdom of Heaven will be privy to his machinations, and less likely to fall for his lies and traps. I know it can be difficult to hear or see your way out when everything seems to be going the opposite of what we have believed and hoped for. I also know the pain and hurt that comes when it seems like you can never seem to get away from heartache, trials, and tests; feeling as though just when one ends, here comes another one, threatening to take the very life out of you.

I say to you, beloved, stand strong and call unto God. Tell Him everything that is in your heart and soul. God can handle it! He is big and mighty God. And once you are finishing pouring out, be still and listen. God is going to answer you and He is going to show you some things that will give you exactly what you need to make it through. I'll be honest with you: He will not stop the tests, but He will direct you and tell you how to get through and how to come out stronger and wiser. He will also give you something so phenomenal to hold on to, that it will stir your faith, and give you the very ammunition that you need to defeat and destroy the enemy once and for all. You just need to be certain that God is your first call and not your last.

Troubles will come. Storms will arise. But I can promise you this: God will have you through it all. Put your trust in Him, and do not go by what it appears to be, but what God has spoken it to be. Lean not on your own understanding, but put all your trust in God who loves you more than anything and anyone.

Proverbs 3:5-6 “Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.”

I decree that the spirit of peace and of prosperity has found a permanent place in your lives: spiritually, physically, emotionally, mentally, socially, and financially. Let God be your first call. Trust Him to lead you to where you cannot trace Him. Be confident in the Lord, knowing that He has not abandoned you, but has only the best for you. Don't try to figure things out on your own. Go to God, and allow Him to speak to your heart and show you marvelous and wondrous things. You are Blessed. Now go...and Be a Blessing!
