"And God Said..."

Reflections4Life July 10th, 2016
“And God Said…”
“…if My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves and pray, and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14
Scripture Contemplation: 2 Chronicles 7; Exodus 32; Numbers 23:19; Job 42; Matthew 3; Luke 15; Acts 3; Ephesians 6; 2 Peter 3:9…

We’ve heard everyone’s opinion. We know what we believe. Many are asking what to do now after you have done everything you can do? The world is waxing colder and evil seems to be prevailing. How do we handle the travesties of today’s world? What else can we possibly do? There is only one thing left to do, which should be the first thing we always do: Seek God and hear and listen to what He says. What is God saying in all of this hate and vitriol?
I pray today’s Reflections brings comfort and peace to your heart and mind. I decree it be a continued source of encouragement and inspiration. We must take the time to hear what God is saying, Beloveds. Trust that He is speaking loud and clear. Do not guess what God might be saying. Hear what He is saying by spending quality, intimate time with the Lord.
The anger and tension in this world are thick. In America, it is bubbling over with hate, distrust, fabrications, manipulations, unrepentance, disregard, and denial. All being spurred by a few mediums with their own agenda to keep people divided and with a growing sense of dread and unrest. People are looking for answers. They are tired of their efforts being ripped apart and trampled on, or cast aside. Who has the answer? God does. Always has and always will.
Everyone has an opinion. Some think they know what the problem is. Others are willing to find out and seek solutions for all people. And there are others who wish to put their heads in the sand and pretend that there is nothing wrong. That the hate and anger do not exist. That the wrong done to human beings on both sides of the spectrum is a fabrication. Then there are those that know exactly what to do and what is wrong, because they have the ear of God and the heart of God, and are not afraid to take an unpopular stance and say: “And God said…” It’s not the most popular or well-received solution—often ensuing in a debate. But when has God’s way ever been the most sought after or popular point of view and way of doing things? Never.
One thing I know for certain: God has addressed these issues. And He has told us and is telling us once again that it is time to repent as a nation. As a people. The blood of too many brothers and sisters are crying out to God. Crying out from the earth that has ripped their essence from their bodies—far too soon. Genocide is taking place, Beloveds. While evil is prevailing and leaving our children to pay the price for the sins of our fathers.
Some may argue that this platform is not the place to speak on this. Then what is, when God is clearly the only solution to what plagues us? Who, more than the children of God, has the ear of the Father? Were we not called to be the salt of the earth? The light to the world? Yet, the body of Christ has lost its flavor. The body of Christ is suffering from a conscious blackout; our lights going dim. I will not hide the truth and come before acting like nothing is wrong. Or pretending that what is taking place in America is not directly connected to the ball that was dropped by the church of God. By those professing to know and love God, and speak for God but have done nothing but to contribute to the despair, hate and vitriol in America today.
The charge was not given to those who do not know God, Beloved. No. The charge was given to those who say they know God and have a relationship with Him. It is time to repent. The Lord said, if My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves and pray, and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14
The charge is to us beloved. And we cannot act like there is nothing going on. We cannot sit by and point blame and not take responsibility for our own actions or inactions. To have nothing to speak up or stand up with those who are oppressed. Or, to act like it is none our business as long as it doesn’t come to our door. Woe unto us who have had any of those thoughts and feelings. Because that is not of the God I serve.
What we see in the world is a direct reflection of our actions. Of our sins and unruly and unrepentant hearts. How dare we say we love the Lord and have nothing but hate in our hearts for another of God’s creation? How can we deem to represent the body of Christ if in our hearts we don’t even believe in equality and justice for all? Last time I checked. Last time I was in a fellowship with God, He clearly still loves us all, and Christ gave His life for all, and not some or a select group of elite.
We are facing the consequences of disobedience, hate, unjustifiable ignorance, unrepentance, and even defiance. As I tell my husband, even though we may move on from a wrong—we move forward, try to do right—there are consequences to our actions. Though God forgives us, extends His mercy and grace, there are repercussions for what we allow to take place. Things must run its course and come full circle. Like kidneys being flushed during a dialysis treatment; the blood being washed, being removed from the body and returning—the consequences of our actions must run its course. Yet, God is there to shorten that time. He is there to walk us through if we would repent. If we would acknowledge our ways and our contribution to the world we live in. Whether through action or inaction.
My Beloveds, may the spirit of peace and prosperity find permanent rest in your lives. I decree that every good thing that God has ordained for your life will become evident to you. We no longer have the luxury of just sitting back and see what happens next. Seeing who the next victim may be. No. It is time for God’s children to repent, confess our sins, turn away from the evil that men do. To admonish when we see wrong and injustices, and to not sit in judgement of anyone. To not make excuses for sin or deplorable behaviors. Not only because what is right or what God desires. But because we KNOW what is right and seek to please God and bring healing to land that so desperately needs a touch from God. You are blessed. Now go….and be a blessing.

"Celebrate!"

ctions4Life January 31, 2016
“Celebrate!”
“And he said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours. It was right that we should make merry and be glad, for your brother was dead and is alive again, and was lost and is found.’” Luke 15:31-32
Scripture Contemplation: Luke 15: 11-32

Are you someone that celebrates the accomplishments and victories of others? For real. You know; not the fake “smile-in-your-face-but-scowling-behind-the-back” kind of celebrate? But the honest to goodness, sincere I-am-truly-happy-for-you kind of celebrate? Because there are way too many walking around harboring hate in their heart and soul over the accomplishments of others when the Father is instructing us to be happy for one another when we meet those milestones in life.
I pray today’s Reflections brings comfort and peace to your heart and mind. I decree it be a continued source of encouragement and inspiration. Let your heart and mind be fixed on Christ each day. Allow God to work in you and bring you to a place of peace and happiness. Celebrate the accomplishments of those around you. Be happy for them, as God prepares you to succeed in your goals and passion in life.
There are some haters in our midst. Those who would love nothing more than for us to fail at everything we do. In fact; each time we accomplish or reach a goal, they will smile in our face but talk about us behind our backs, suggesting that our accomplishments are not as they seem.
Some of us need to be careful because we are those very haters. What?! Yes! Some of us only need to look in the mirror to see that we are the haters. The ones that have difficulty celebrating the accomplishments of others. The ones that moan and complain often that God is not moving fast enough or answering their prayers. The ones that find fault in all that others do but find it most difficult to see or accept their own faults and flaws.
We should celebrate the victories of those around us. Be happy for the fulfillment of their goals and their accomplishments. Learn to rejoice when someone who was lost finds their way. Celebrate the victories and milestones met by those you know worked very hard. And while you are celebrating another, the things you need are being taken care of.
I love the parable of the prodigal son. Though he squandered all that he had, he had the wherewithal to humble himself and go back home. His return was celebrated while the son who remained home and dutiful and obedient to his father felt sore about the celebration being held in his wayward brother’s return.
The older brother reminds me of those who have been working hard their entire lives to reach a goal; to make their dreams come true. And as they are working diligently, here comes an up and coming new-comer, who accomplishes in a short period what that other person has been working towards for years. Kind of like being an actor for thirty years. Working hard at your craft. Always nominated but never winning. Then here comes a young actor; their first shot out and they are not only nominated but win the coveted award. Doesn’t seem fair, does it? But that’s life sometimes. Who’s to say what obstacles that young actor has gone through? Who’s to say that they didn’t merit the win at that time? It was their season. It may have been their only season.
Because another person wins, doesn’t necessarily make you a loser. It just isn’t your season. When you take the time to genuinely celebrate the accomplishment of others, it opens the doors and makes room for your own blessings to manifest. It’s called humility. Even though you may feel you deserve recognition for all your hard work, be patient. Wait for your season. We all have one. Allow the seeds of your life that were planted to take root and get strong, so that when your fruit comes forth—in due season—it will be good fruit free of blemish, and full of abundance.
Celebrate the accomplishments and milestones of others. Be supportive. Be the person that takes joy when others succeed, while knowing that your season is right around the corner. Celebrate the return of those to the fold; to the household of God. Welcome them with open arms. Let them know and see that you are there for them, to help celebrate not just their accomplishments, but also their lives.
My Beloveds, may the spirit of peace and prosperity find permanent rest in your lives. I decree that every good thing that God has ordained for your life will become evident to you. There is no room for hate or shade when you are walking in God. No room to feel slighted or left out. What God has for you is for you. Rest assure; God is not rewarding bad behavior or a jealous spirit. But He does celebrate with those who celebrate others and lift one another to their highest level of best. Celebrate one another. Celebrate as you wait patiently for your season to come to pass. You are blessed. Now go…and be a blessing.

"No Time for Jealousy!"

Reflections4Life January 24th, 2016
“No Time for Jealousy!”
“Set me as a seal upon your heart, as a seal upon your arm; for love is as strong as death, Jealousy as cruel as the grave; its flames are flames of fire, a most vehement flame.” Song of Solomon 8:6
Scripture Contemplation: Deuteronomy 29; Psalm 37; Proverbs 24; Proverbs 27…

I pray today’s Reflections brings comfort and peace to your heart and mind. I decree it be a continued source of encouragement and inspiration. It's Not Easy Being Green! And you do not have to be. Allow yourself time in the presence of God. Let Him reveal to you who you are and how deeply and fiercely He loves you just as you are.
Jealousy! What a vicious character. Warping one's mind to think things that are not necessarily the truth. One morning as I was going through a few things (In the middle of packing—we were moving), I came across an old notebook with some notes that I had jotted down. The topic of discussion: Jealousy and what to do about it.
I was taught to believe that jealousy is a wasted emotion that can wreak the most havoc if allowed to go unchecked. I also know that jealousy’s ugly root hides in the guise of insecurities. When you are insecure about anything...Beware! The green eyed monster is not too far behind
I've experienced battles with the green-eyed monster; we all have. If you say you haven't, I'm apt to believe that most of what you say isn't the truth. I learned it is not easy being green! Jealousy takes a lot of energy. What was I jealous about, you might ask? Well, keeping it honest and real...I have dealt with a weight issue what seems like FOREVER! At that time, I was maintaining, losing a few pounds here and there. Then enter a co-worker. Who, by the way, in my opinion, did not need to lose an ounce! However, she felt she did and so she started this new "diet" (I so hate that word!)  She started dropping the pounds faster than I could blink.
Now enters jealousy.  She was looking wonderful and when I looked at myself...Blah! I could hardly stand to be in the same room as her. I wished she'd just be quiet about all her success! But in all actuality, I was angry at myself for what seem to me at the time—as my failure. I found myself not being very social with her, as I was previously. In fact, I found myself pulling away from many activities that I was doing at the time.
My God! What was happening to me? Jealousy! That green eyed monster nearly cost me a friendship, and almost caused me to put back on the few pounds I did lose! Because if you didn't know it, let me tell you now: jealousy can easily lead to self-pity, and for many people in that state—they eat to suppress the feelings that they are trying to evade. Lord, help me, please! I really had to get a hold of myself. So, I started writing my "feelings" in my journal, and appropriately named it: It's Not Easy Being Green!
I made a grave mistake that many of us do: Comparing myself to someone else. We should never compare ourselves to anyone else. Besides, you don't even know what that person may be going through. Or, what it took for them to get where they are at. Their shoes may not be such a great fit. By comparing ourselves to another, we open the door wide for that spirit of jealousy to come in and take root.
Jealousy is a very strong emotion that, if not checked, can wreak all kinds of havoc in our lives. Whether it is a relationship, friendship, acquaintances, or strangers—we do not have to be envious of another person’s progress, success, or relationships. God has assured us that what is for us is for us. We do not have to stoop to a level of self-loathing, or hating on someone, or trying to attack, malign, or sabotage another’s personal success. When we know who we are; know our worth and have self-value, we do not compare ourselves to another person’s growth. When we know and believe in our own self-worth, we quickly abate insecurities. When we trust in the love of those we are in a relationship with—we understand that whether or not they stay—it is not a reflection of our self-worth.
My Beloveds, may the spirit of peace and prosperity find permanent rest in your lives. I decree that every good thing that God has ordained for your life will become evident to you. Love who you are. Be who you are without regret, insecurity or inhibition. Do not allow a spirit of jealousy to blind you to the God’s truth concerning you, or all the plans He has ordained for you. Search your hearts and know this truth: You are worthy because God said so and that’s all that matters. You are blessed. Now go…and be a blessing!

"Day Break"

Reflections4Life September 20th, 2015
“Day Break”
“For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.” Psalm 30:52
Scripture Contemplation: Genesis 32; Lamentations 3; Zephaniah 3; 2 Peter 1; Revelation 22…
©Phil Koch

There are times when our nights seem so long. As though they are going to last forever and morning will never come. It's in these times that we may experience much pain, aches, uncertainty, and feel trapped in the darkness of a situation.
I pray today’s Reflections brings comfort and peace to your heart and mind. I decree it be a continued source of encouragement and inspiration. May you hold on to the Heavenly Father, and trust Him to lead you through the darkness. Let Him hold you, as you expectantly wait for His promised morning to you.
We patiently wait for daybreak. For, the sun to shine through and expose all that has been going on in the darkness. Or simply to bring an end to the night; to the darkness in our lives.
Sometimes it is hard to believe that morning will ever come. That there will ever be a time when you can be free from all the heartache and pain in your life. Yet in Psalms it tells us that weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.
Many of us have been waiting for our morning to finally get here. Many of us have been weeping for many a night; just about on the verge of giving up.
Don't do it Beloved! Don't give up! Daybreak is almost here. Your morning is about to come. It may not come in the manner you thought, but it is coming. And when it comes with its marvelous light, you will understand why your night—your weeping lasted so long. You will understand and know when you see the plans that God has had for you all along.
My Beloveds, may the spirit of peace and prosperity find permanent rest in your lives. I decree that every good thing that God has ordained for your life will become evident to you. Hold on. Do not grow weary. You are closer to your day break than you believe. Trust God. Your morning is about to break forth, shattering every ounce of darkness. You are blessed. Now go…and be a blessing.

"Confidence"

Reflections4Life September 13th, 2015
“Confidence”
“Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward.” Hebrews 10:35
Scripture Contemplation: Job 4:6; 31; Psalm 10; Ephesians 6; Hebrews 4; 13…

For all the bravado that many of us portray, we still lack one thing that keeps us from fulfilling our many hopes and dreams. We talk the game well. Say all the right words. We even manage to encourage others. Yet, we fall short most times of our own goals and finish lines because we lack confidence.
I pray today’s Reflections brings comfort and peace to your heart and mind. I decree it be a continued source of encouragement and inspiration. Trust God with all of your heart. Become bold in Christ and stand in confidence with the assurance that all that God has declared and decreed for your life shall come to pass.
It is not just confidence in ourselves—confidence that we can accomplish our goals. It is the lack of confidence that we have in God and His word. The disconnect that occurs within us when we do not believe and cannot see for ourselves the very promises of God.
Most certainly it appears to others that we have everything together. That, we are bold and confident in our lives. Even when we fall short from the mark or the finish line, we quickly assess the situation and say that God just has bigger plans.
What a bunch of malarkey that is ninety percent of the time! Sure, God has plans. However, part of His plans is that we succeeded in our goals. That we cross that finish line. That we would finish what we started. It isn't God, but our own lack of confidence and insecurities and lack of trust in the word of God, and who we are in Him.
Too many of us have missed opportunities because we lack the confidence to follow through. We lack the trust in God's word and in our ability to handle what comes next. Sometimes we lack the confidence to be successful.
Some of us have suffered for so long and have had more tragedies than triumphs that we don't know how to handle success. We are afraid of the unknown of success and having to maintain it. We lack the confidence in ourselves to continue to grow and flourish and have continued success. Hence, we sabotage our own efforts.  We began to question ourselves and the blessings. We start to doubt God and ourselves, making room for fear and unbelief which ultimately cripples us—stopping us from moving forward.
My Beloveds, may the spirit of peace and prosperity find permanent rest in your lives. I decree that every good thing that God has ordained for your life will become evident to you.  Don't be scared, beloved. Don't be scared of failing or making a mistake. Be confident in who you are. Have confidence that God will keep His word. Be confident in your successes. That they will not only last but continue to grow into the vision that God has shown you. Your past does not dictate if you're worthy or deserving of great success. No. You are deserving by the share fact that you belong to a great God that would have nothing less but the best for you. Be confident always. You are blessed. Now go…and be a blessing!

"Beyond Measure"

Reflections4Life September 6th, 2015
“Beyond Measure”
“Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” Luke 6:38
Scripture Contemplation: Genesis 49:25-26; Deuteronomy 7:12; 28; Psalm 128; Proverbs 28:20

I pray today’s Reflections brings comfort and peace to your heart and mind. I decree it be a continued source of encouragement and inspiration. May you know and see the blessings that God has decreed over your life. Lean on God for all understanding and direction. Count your blessings, they are many.
If there is one thing that I understand today, it is that I am blessed beyond measure. I cannot begin to count my blessings because they are far too numerous. I am fortunate that they outweigh the bad by a very great number.
Yes, there are days when I do not "feel" blessed. Days when I do not think God hears me. However, I know that is just the circumstances and situations I may currently be facing, talking. My feelings and emotions, but never my heart.
Today is a very blessed day.  As well as, one of the hardest for me. Today's my Birthday. I am so blessed and grateful. But at the same time, it's my first birthday without my Mom. I miss her 4:33 am (the time I was born! My Mom was serious about this! Lol) birthday call and her birthday song this morning. I miss hearing her voice, her touch, her kiss and her embrace. But I feel love all the way from heaven. And it gives my heart joy to know she is no longer suffering.
I don’t ask for much, if anything, for my birthday. I never did. On my birthday, I’d always asked my mother what she wanted. I desired to give. To give someone else joy and pleasure on my birthday. That was the gift I wanted. To see someone else happy on my birthday. So, with that in mind, I pray that you will receive today what your heart desires. I pray that your prayers would be answered according the Father’s will for your life. May you walk in the blessings God has ordained for your life.
My Beloveds, may the spirit of peace and prosperity find permanent rest in your lives. I decree that every good thing that God has ordained for your life will become evident to you. I recognize my blessings today. More than any other. Because I know that my blessings are beyond measure. My beautiful mother taught me that! And as I celebrate life today, I pray for you. That you would be blessed and know your worth, and that everything that God has ordained for you, you will receive. You are blessed. Now go…and be a blessing!

"Keep Praying"

Reflections4Life August 30th, 2015
“Keep Praying”
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” Philippians 4:6
Scripture Contemplation: 1 Kings 8; Psalm 86; Daniel 9; Matthew 6; 26; John 16; 17…

Listen; I understand. Sometimes that is the very last thing we want to hear. Many of us feeling that we have prayed so much we are prayed out. We are frustrated, hurt, tired and angry. And yet, it still feels as though God has turned a deaf ear to our supplications.
I pray today’s Reflections brings comfort and peace to your heart and mind. I decree it be a continued source of encouragement and inspiration. As you exercise your faith, strengthen your prayer life. Allow God to lead you and minister to you. Sometimes you do not have to say anything, ask for anything. Just be still in the presence of God and let Him fill you.
God hears us, Beloveds. He is indeed listening to our prayers and He is answering. Answering in His time and His ways. Ways we may not see or think is God.  There are things some of us are desperate for God's intervention. We are at the end of our ropes with nowhere to turn but God. He hears you, beloved.
Do not stop praying. Nor stop believing. Though it seems like your prayers are fruitless and are never going to be answered; bear in mind that God knows everything concerning you and has already answered. Now we wait for its manifestations.
Beware that during this waiting time the enemy will do everything he can to distract us. To make us doubt God. To make us walk away from our heavenly Father. To desert our posture in prayer and give up before we see the promises that are closer than we can see.
Whatever you do, keep praying, Beloveds. Do not give up or yield to the whispers of the enemy. When you have submitted your requests to the Lord; when you have supplicated to the Father believing He has heard and answered you, let your prayers become prayers of gratitude and of thanksgiving. Let your heart and mind be at peace, knowing that regardless to how long the wait, you will see your prayers answered.
Continue to edify the Lord. It's very easy to stop praying. We do so often without realizing it because a part of us has given up and stopped believing in answered prayers. Trials and tribulations can have devastating effects upon our heart and soul. Keep your mind on how much God loves us. How much he has given for us. And how far He is willing to go to bring peace to our hearts and minds.
Dear Father, I ask you to bless those who read this today and every friend, family and acquaintance that is in my life, with the fortitude and courage to keep praying. Give them what they need. Let their eyes become opened, and their ears attentive to Your will. Encourage them. And let them see what wonderful and loving experiences you have for their lives, as they take the lessons and waiting period in stride while praising your Name. Amen.
My Beloveds, may the spirit of peace and prosperity find permanent rest in your lives. I decree that every good thing that God has ordained for your life will become evident to you.  Don’t stop praying. And don’t stop believing that God answers prayers because He does. Though the answers may seem to take a while in coming, they will manifest, as long you continue to believe and yield to the Heavenly Father. You are blessed. Now go…and be a blessing!

"Clean House"

Reflections4Life Sunday, August 23, 2015
“Clean House”
“Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own?” 1 Corinthians 6:19
Scripture Contemplation: Isaiah 66; Romans 12; 1 Corinthians 6; 2 Corinthians 5; 1 Peter 2…

Growing up, my brother and I could not go out or watch TV on Saturdays until all house chores were done. When the seasons were changing, we might as well forget Saturday fun day! Our mother was a drill sergeant when it came to cleaning.
Keeping a clean house was a top priority. Our mom could not stand filth. We learned early how to clean properly, how to wash clothes, and to cook. As well as other vital life lessons. We also learned in the process about our spiritual houses.
I pray today’s Reflections brings comfort and peace to your heart and mind. I decree it be a continued source of encouragement and inspiration. There are situations in our lives that have caused our spiritual houses to become cluttered. It is time to invite the Heavenly Father in so that He may help us to clean house.
All of these lessons were to prepare us for life. To make certain that we were ready for the life ahead of us. My mother insisted on a clean house always. To tidy up as you went along. She said that you never knew who might stop by; who may want to come over. Who wants to sit in filth? Who would want to bless you with more if you cannot take care of the less you have now? She would ask.
She was right...of course. And the same can be applied to our spiritual lives. We must maintain a clean house. Our mind, our body, and spirit. We are exposed and take in so many different things, it is no wonder our spiritual houses are dirty, cluttered, and some torn down.

Many of us cannot hear or see God because there are too much clutter and debris blocking us from what God wants to tell us, show us, and give us. We need to clean house. To rid ourselves of those things that prevent us from living our lives to the fullest. Those things that keep us from hearing and seeing God. Those things that block our blessings.
We can begin with people, places, and things. There are some people that are too toxic for our lives. We need to let them go. Toxic people take your energy, steal your joy and peace, and manipulate and whisper lies to you in order to block you from your blessings. You'd be surprised how many wear the guise of a friend, family, girlfriend, boyfriend, and even spouse.
Then there are certain places that we need to stay away from. Places that make us feel heavy-hearted or come away feeling ashamed. It doesn't have to be a physical place either. It can be a place we go to mentally. The enemy loves nothing more than to get into our heads and make us doubt the promises of God.
And there are certain things we participate in, knowingly or unknowingly, that cause our houses to be filled with debris. The things we take in through our ears and eyes, and even our mouths. We have become a generation of excess. We have so many things, except the one thing that will give us peace of mind: a relationship with God. But where would He fit in our lives? Where would he find room in our crowded and cluttered houses?
My Beloveds, may the spirit of peace and prosperity find permanent rest in your lives. I decree that every good thing that God has ordained for your life will become evident to you.  It's time to clean house and make room for the Father. To make room for His blessings. God has so much He wants to bless us with. So much He wants to give to us. He's just looking to be invited, and He will come and help us clean house. You are blessed. Now go…and be a blessing!

"It Will Not Last"

Reflections4Life August 16th, 2015
“It Will Not Last”
“For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for a lifetime; Weeping may last for the night, but a shout of joy comes in the morning.” Psalm 30:5
Scripture Contemplation: Numbers 11; Psalm 5; Psalm 30; Jeremiah 11…

The pain. The heartache. The disappointment. It will not last. The uncertainty. The loneliness. The despair. It will not last.  How can I possibly say it will not last when I don't know how long you've been suffering? Because I believe my Heavenly Father when He said: Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.
I pray today’s Reflections brings comfort and peace to your heart and mind. I decree it be a continued source of encouragement and inspiration. Allow God into the hidden places that He may bring you joy and encouragement. Believe the promises of God. Yield to Him, as He reaches toward you with His love and greatness.
I may not know the cause of your heartache and suffering. As you may not know mine. However, I do know, with all my heart that my God loves us the same. And what He's done for another, He can and will do for me and you too should we believe and let Him have His way.
Most certainly as we suffer these afflictions, it feels like there is never an end in sight. But God! He is a promise-keeper. And if we hold on, believe His word, hold onto the promises, we will not only make it through, we will thrive in the blessings of God.
Beloveds, do not give up. Do not give in to the whispers of the enemy. God surely does love you. He does have a plan for your life. One to prosper you and bring you to an expected end. That is fulfilled with promises of God. Though your mourning and weeping seem to be lasting longer than a night, trust God when He tells you that your morning in soon coming. What you are faced with now will not last. There is an end in sight.
Galatians 6:9 Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary.
My Beloveds, may the spirit of peace and prosperity find permanent rest in your lives. I decree that every good thing that God has ordained for your life will become evident to you.  What heartaches, pain, trials and tests you are facing now, they will not last. Yet, they will make you stronger. Giving you a testimony that bring light to another person's dark night. You are blessed. Now go…and be a blessing!

"Your First Call"

Reflections4Life, August 9, 2015
“Your First Call”
“But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” Matthew 6:33
Scripture Contemplation: Psalm 5; Proverbs 3; Matthew 6…

There are countless people going through some very tough times. There are some we may never know facing things in their lives that seem impossible to overcome. They do not know where to turn or who to turn to.
Who is the first person you call when you are in trouble? Many of us call a friend, a sibling, or our parents. When things in your life are not going well and you need direction, who do you call? When you’re looking for answers, who do you turn to?
I pray today’s Reflections brings comfort and peace to your heart and mind. I decree it be a continued source of encouragement and inspiration. Allow God to be your first call. Seek Him first in all that you do. Allow God to direct you and fill your heart with His love and direction.
Many turn to everyone in their sphere of influence but God. Some even seek out psychics, spiritualists, and mediums. While God is last on the call list.
Why not make the Father your first call? Sure; I can hear many saying: "I already prayed and it didn't work." Or, "God doesn't hear me or answer my prayers."
That couldn't be further from the truth. God cares. And He hears our supplications. And He not only answers but has the answers to every single question, dilemma, and problems we face.  Sometimes we just cannot hear God, or recognize His voice or His ways because we have not spent much time in His presence. We often make God our last call instead of the first.
Beloveds, God is always there. But many times we do not seek Him until we have exhausted every other avenue then seek Him as a last resort. Many times we believe He has not heard us or does not answer our prayers, when the truth of the matter is we have spent so much time apart from Him and His presence, that His ways are foreign to us and His voice unrecognizable.
Here's an idea: why not make God your first call? Your first call of the day. Your first communication. Instead if reaching for the phone or your social media app, how about giving God the first minutes of your day? We have 24 hours; would it be so hard to give the Father the first 20-30 minutes?
My Beloveds, may the spirit of peace and prosperity find permanent rest in your lives. I decree that every good thing that God has ordained for your life will become evident to you.  Invite God into your everyday life. Develop your intimate relationship with Him so when you are in a position to need aid, He naturally becomes your first call. And when He answers, you will recognize His voice and His ways. You are blessed. Now go…and be a blessing!

"Don't Believe The Lies"

Reflections4Life August 2, 2015
“Don’t Believe the Lies”
“But the king will rejoice in God; everyone who swears by Him will glory, for the mouths of those who speak lies will be stopped.” Psalm 63:11
Scripture Contemplation: Proverbs 6; 14; 19; 30; John 8…

Oh! Today’s Reflections is so much more personal than any other at this present time! My God knows how I feel about lying. But especially about being called a liar! I abhor it! And beloveds, when the enemy knows what you abhor, he will try and use it against you every chance he gets.
I pray today’s Reflections brings comfort and peace to your heart and mind. I decree it be a continued source of encouragement and inspiration. Whatever you do, keep trusting God, and spend intimate time in His presence. For only God can reveal to you what you need to know and give you peace about what is the truth and what the lie is. He is trustworthy.
There are going to be many things said about many things and many people and about yourself. And sometimes the things being said are a lie! One lie can destroy an entire lifetime. An entire legacy. And before the lie is discovered or exposed, the damage is already done.
Do you know what the worst kind of lie is? The lies that the enemy speaks to us and we believe. That is the absolute worse! Because it robs you of love, your birthright, your blessings, your peace, your self-esteem, your confidence, your hope, and even your faith and belief in God.
The enemy is strategic in his plots against us. He waits. Studying us. Getting to know our weaknesses; our idiosyncrasies. He waits for vulnerable times to strike. While all along he has been whispering lies to us and using our insecurities to weaken us. He has used that girlfriend, that boyfriend, that husband, wife, or family member; or that shady friend to take jabs at our armor to weaken it enough for his onslaught. And when we are most vulnerable, he hits hard, and we end up believing his lies.
Don't do it, Beloved! Don't believe the lies the enemy has spoken. Don't believe the hateful and jealous rants and whispers of people who wish your downfall. Don't fall for the backhanded compliments and empty gestures of those who say they love you and are for you, yet are secretly wishing and plotting your demise. Look to God for the truth. Look to God to reveal the heart of someone; their true intentions. And you…be strong. Do not let an enemy that has already been defeated rob you any longer.
My Beloveds, may the spirit of peace and prosperity find permanent rest in your lives. I decree that every good thing that God has ordained for your life will become evident to you.  Trust me when I tell you: God has the best for you. You are His best. And in you is already greatness waiting for you to accept and walk-in. Don't believe the lies, Love. Don't let go of God's truth about you. That you are wonderfully and fearfully made in His image. That, you are more than a conqueror. That, you can do all things through Christ that strengthens you! You are blessed. Now go…and be a blessing!

"Do Not Be Robbed"

Reflections4Life July 26, 2015
“Do Not Be Robbed”
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” John 10:10 (NASB)
Scripture Contemplation: Jeremiah 22; John 10; 1 Peter 5…

Beloveds, we are in such a time that it may often feel as though no matter how hard you fight; how much you believe; how strong your faith; it feels like you are losing.
That's a lie! A trick from the enemy of our souls to blind us and steal from us. To rob us of our birthright; our joy, peace, and happiness. All of these things—these unexplained occurrences, the hate and vitriol we see and experience on a daily basis...all of it—schemes plotted by the enemy to rob us. Yes. He wants to destroy us, to kill us. And what better way than to distract us, diverting our attention, so that we may lose our focus. His number one goal, to permanently rob us of our blessings and the promises of God. To take our very life.
I pray today’s Reflections brings comfort and peace to your heart and mind. I decree it be a continued source of encouragement and inspiration. Run to the Father. Before you react. Before you make any decision to do anything, run to the throne of grace and seek the will of God. Allow Him to lead you, so that you may remain standing strong and in the victory He has assured you.
It is so easy for us to get distracted these days. And even more of a distraction are our emotions. Many of us do not respond but rather react to anger. Although we are justified in our anger, we are not justified when we act out and do something that does irreparable damage to ourselves and our families. That's what the enemy of our souls wants. He wants us to be distracted by the pain and the hurt and do something that will allow him to rob us of our future, our families, our freedom and lives.
We can also be robbed of our relationships. The enemy does not care about families and relationships. One of his tactics is to isolate and separate. Even he understands and knows how powerful we are when we come together in agreement. Do not allow the enemy to turn you away from the ones you love and those that can help you. Do not be robbed of family, friends, and fellowship. We must learn to reach out, and deal with things together. To trust one another and work with each other.
Beloved, do not allow the enemy to rob you. Yes. Get angry but do not sin in your anger. Respond to the hurt and pain but do not react. Do not isolate yourself or play the lone ranger. Seek God, and come together in prayer and fellowship.
Another strategy the enemy loves is when we give up because we become scared or fearful. Some give up before they have even begun to fight back; putting an end to his distractions, and his constant attempt to steal, kill, and destroy. Don't give up. Don't lose hope or faith. But also, do not fall for the traps of the enemy. Do not allow him to goad you and make you so angry that you do not pray or think, and just walk away defeated.
My Beloveds, may the spirit of peace and prosperity find permanent rest in your lives. I decree that every good thing that God has ordained for your life will become evident to you.  Don't allow the distractions, the hurtful things, and the hateful and evil things of this world to steal your focus and your victory. God has already declared us the winner. The enemy may be conniving, but he is not more powerful than God or those who maintain their focus and choose to stand and fight in the manner in which God instructs. For greater is He in us than he that is in this world. You are blessed. Now go…and be a blessing!

"Do You Know Who You Are?"

Reflections4Life July 19, 2015
“Do You Know Who You Are?”
“See how great a love the Father has bestowed on us, that we would be called children of God; and such we are. For this reason, the world does not know us because it did not know Him.” 1 John 3:1
Scripture Contemplation: Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 1; 2 Timothy 2…

The searching. The seeking. The longing. The missteps. The mistakes. The failures. The insecurities. The uncertainties. The highs. The lows. The disappointments. The discouragements. The triumphs and the defeats. After all of this, do you know who you are? Who you really and truly are?
I pray today’s Reflections brings comfort and peace to your heart and mind. I decree it be a continued source of encouragement and inspiration. It is in the presence of the Almighty that we learn and come to understand who we are. Allow the Father to show you what is already within you, waiting to be birthed forth.
For so long we have allowed so many things and other people to define who we are, that sadly, many of us still have no clue as to who we really and truly are. We have been wounded, hurt, and suffered terribly in our life's journey. And as it turns out the one thing most of us bypass or overlook is the fact that we are still here!
Yes. We've been through hell; through atrocities and pain we wouldn't wish on many. And yet, here we are. Alive, surviving, and prayerfully thriving. The fact alone that you made it through and are here to talk about your journey is a clear testament of how strong you truly are.
Here you are! Fighting! Not giving up! You know who you are! You are strong. You are determined. You are faithful. You are blessed. And that’s just part of who you are.
Can you not see and understand that your experiences and the situations you have faced did not destroy you? They don't define who you are. Yes. Those circumstances may have added to your resolve and your strengths. But it did not determine your character. No. It only allowed your true character to be birthed. Those hardships and tough times made room for the person who God created you to be, to finally come forth and live.
Who are you beloved? Who does God say that you are? Who is within you waiting to be birthed? Do you not understand yet that every experience has brought you to this day and time? To know who you truly are. To live who you are. A chosen vessel of God.
My Beloveds, may the spirit of peace and prosperity find permanent rest in your lives. I decree that every good thing that God has ordained for your life will become evident to you. Do not allow the trials and circumstances of life to rob or blind you of the truth. The truth of who God created you to be. Do not allow negative people to speak lies over your life, and dictate who you are. You are who God says you are. You are His. Made in His image. Blessed with His love. You are blessed. Now go…and be a blessing!

"Breathe"

Reflections4Life July 12, 2015
“Breathe”
“Then He said to me, “Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, ‘Thus says the Lord God, “Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they come to life.”’ Ezekiel 37:9

Scripture Contemplation: Joshua 1; Psalm 1:2; 4:4; 27:4; Song of Solomon 4:6…

Inhale. Exhale. Inhale. Exhale. Did you know there was a proper way to breathe? That, you can release stress, gain energy, clear your mind with just the way you breathe.
I pray today’s Reflections brings comfort and peace to your heart and mind. I decree it be a continued source of encouragement and inspiration. Meditate on the goodness of God and allow Him to breathe into you a new life, along with His peace and joy. Release the heartaches and pains, as His cleansing breath, restores you.
Did you ever realize how often we hinder our breathing when we are under pressure? How many times have we told someone to breathe when they were hit with something traumatic? Because, it is at that moment that most of feel like the breath has been taken from us. That, perhaps holding our breath will stop whatever is happening from happening.
I know I have been there countless times. Your heart is aching so badly. Your brain is tumbling from all that has occurred. You can't seem to get a hold of your thoughts and what to do next.
Breathe. Take a deep breath, hold it, exhale slowly, and then repeat. Breathe in the strength and calmness of God. Allow Him to relax your mind and direct your path.
Meditation is a wonderful way to work on our breathing and learning to clear our minds. In the word of God, it tells us to meditate on his word day and night. Meditate on the goodness and promises of God.
Do not meditate on the problems facing you. Meditate on the One who can solve them. Breathe in His goodness and mercy. Let His peace envelop you. We carry so many burdens in our heart. We hold onto so much fear, trepidation, and anger. It's time to let it all go. Time To inhale the peace of God and exhale the worries and chaos.
My Beloveds, may the spirit of peace and prosperity find permanent rest in your lives. I decree that every good thing that God has ordained for your life will become evident to you. When a crisis hits, and the enemy is attacking, take a moment and breathe. Take slow, cleansing breaths and let the calmness of God overwhelm you. Breathe, my friend. Breathe. You are blessed. Now go…and be a blessing.

"Free"

Reflections4Life July 5, 2015
“Free”
“Christ has set us free to live a free life. So take your stand! Never again let anyone put a harness of slavery on you.” Galatians 5:1 (MSG)
Scripture Contemplation: Galatians 5; Ephesians 3; 5; Hebrews 6…

As we celebrated Independence Day in America, many took the time to thank those who fought and continue to fight for our freedom. To fight that we may pursue our happiness—whatever that may be.
I thought about it (freedom) quite a lot yesterday. And I realized that so many of us are anything but free. Whether it is physical, emotionally, mentally, or spiritually. Many of us are still bound. Bound to a way of life. To a belief. To a person, a lifestyle, an idea. Some are even bound to their negative thoughts.
I pray today’s Reflections brings comfort and peace to your heart and mind. I decree it be a continued source of encouragement and inspiration. As you delve into an intimate relationship with the Creator, allow Him to shape and mold and condition your heart. Let His love cover you, as He teaches you what it truly means to be free.
The ties that bind us are evident by what we witness in this world each and every day. The continued atrocities that occur against our fellow man based upon an ideal and belief system that makes some believe they have the right to treat others with such hate, animosity, and vitriol.
What right do have to judge others? Unless it is a righteous judgment?—Not self-righteousness but a godly righteousness. Wherein we see an injustice and want to correct it. Where we stand up and become the voice for those who do not have one. Who, have been vehemently wronged and bullied, taken advantage of, and stripped of their rights.
It is obvious that although many are physically free they remain bound in their thoughts and ideals. So many are walking around bound in heavy mental-chains when God has already freed us. But they hang on to hurt, pain, ideals and principles that keep them from truly living a free life.
Beloveds, you are free. Freedom is yours if you desire to walk in it. We cannot control what others think and the actions that they ultimately choose to make. But we can be free in our own lives and live accordingly. And we can continue to fight for those who cannot fight for themselves.
We can break vicious cycles of hate and judgment by living our lives in such a manner, that we respect others and their right to choose and stand up for those who have no voice and have suffered by the hands of those who continue to be bound and abuse their authority and power.
My Beloveds, may the spirit of peace and prosperity find permanent rest in your lives. I decree that every good thing that God has ordained for your life will become evident to you. To be truly free, we must be free in our minds and hearts, and fight for those who cannot fight for themselves. Don't allow this world to bind you with its troubles. Allow God to pour His love into you, and free you physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. You are blessed. Now go…and be a blessing.
