"Fortunate"

Reflections4Life June 25, 2017
“Fortunate”
“Consider yourself fortunate if God All-Powerful chooses to correct you. He may cause injury and pain, but he will bandage and heal your cuts and bruises. God will protect you from harm; no matter how often trouble may strike.” Job 5:17-19
Scripture Contemplation: Job 5; Isaiah 3; Luke 12…

There are days that I forget how fortunate I am to have the Lord on my side. I forget because I sometimes take my eyes off God and forget His promises and His word because I have allowed the circumstances and situations to overwhelm me. Instead of stopping, praying, and meditating on the Word of God, I meditate on all that is wrong; forgetting how fortunate I am that I serve a God that has already worked all things out for me.
I decree that this week’s Reflections will be a continued source of encouragement and inspiration for your heart, mind, and soul. Do yourself a great favor his week—humble yourself before the Creator and seek His face as never before. Let Him pour into you and you release all the things you have been holding in. It’s confession time and time to be made whole.
How fortunate are we to serve a God that loves us unconditionally? How awesome is it to know that we have a Father that does not judge a tenth as much as others and we judge us? Though you may be going through some very difficult times and facing things you may have never faced before; know that you are not alone. No matter what it looks or feels like, God is with you in the midst of it all. Because He is, we are fortunate. Fortunate that we have a Creator that knows everything about us; what we need; how much we can take; and when we are ready to receive what He has to say and give to us—His children—though we may be ornery, sinful, prideful, and rejecting Him and His ways.
Throughout my life’s journey, I have come to learn of the love, care, and concern that our Father hoards in his heart towards us. There were so many times that I have judged myself so harshly that I missed the blessing of God right in front of me. I was taught religion and that God was a vengeful and jealous God. Yes, that He loved us and sent His only begotten Son. However, I was not taught in the beginning about the depths of who God is. How huge His heart and love is concerning all of His creation.
None of this was taught but learned through a personal experience with God. It amazes me every day just how deep and wide the love of God truly is, and just how fortunate I truly am that He chose me. That, He holds me close to His heart and communicates with me one on one. Hat, He understands me and loves not in spite but because of. Because He is God. He is my Creator. My Friend. My Savior. My Redeemer. My King. My Everything.
Beloved, when you have an encounter with the true and living God, you will know. It is something that cannot be taught, bought, or experienced through another person’s story. It is through a first-hand account experience you will never forget. Your life changes forever. Even if you walk away and reject Him, you still will never be the same after a personal encounter with your Creator. It is like receiving a kiss on the lips from Heaven. Your heart is touched in a way that no words could accurately express. An encounter with the true and living God leaves you breathless, excited, hungry, and thirsty for more; for more of Him; more of His presence and more of His love. Then and only then will you know how blessed and fortunate you truly are.
I am so grateful today! My heart is bursting with so much love and gratitude for our Creator. If you have fellowshipped with me for a while now, then you know part of my story, my testimony. Oh! Beloveds, there is so much more to the story behind the glory of God in my life. So much more to the testimonies. As time goes forward, I look forward to the Lord releasing me to share it all. I will share this: I was saved at seven years old. I understood with all of my heart and soul that God was real. I had an encounter with God at the age of three. I was already His. My heart already believed and received Him. My young life was filled with just as much pain and sorrow as it was a joy. It was because of my relationship with God; His covering, that I made it through my younger years without going down a dark path that so many other young women have gone after experiencing all that I have. His loved saved. I am indeed fortunate. Fortunate that I had an encounter at such a young life. It saved my life, spiritually and physically, and most definitely mentally. God is more than good, He is great!
My Beloveds, may the spirit of peace and prosperity finds permanent rest in your lives. I decree that every good thing that God has ordained for your life will become evident to you. We are indeed fortunate to have a Father that loves us so much that He reaches and knocks at the doors of our heart; inviting us and giving us the freedom to accept or reject His offer. He stands with open arms, ready to receive us. How fortunate we are to have a Creator who will move heaven and earth just to get to us, wherever we are. We are never far from His reach or can escape His love. God is there; always. You are blessed. Now go…and be a blessing!

"Beyond Measure"

Reflections4Life September 6th, 2015
“Beyond Measure”
“Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” Luke 6:38
Scripture Contemplation: Genesis 49:25-26; Deuteronomy 7:12; 28; Psalm 128; Proverbs 28:20

I pray today’s Reflections brings comfort and peace to your heart and mind. I decree it be a continued source of encouragement and inspiration. May you know and see the blessings that God has decreed over your life. Lean on God for all understanding and direction. Count your blessings, they are many.
If there is one thing that I understand today, it is that I am blessed beyond measure. I cannot begin to count my blessings because they are far too numerous. I am fortunate that they outweigh the bad by a very great number.
Yes, there are days when I do not "feel" blessed. Days when I do not think God hears me. However, I know that is just the circumstances and situations I may currently be facing, talking. My feelings and emotions, but never my heart.
Today is a very blessed day.  As well as, one of the hardest for me. Today's my Birthday. I am so blessed and grateful. But at the same time, it's my first birthday without my Mom. I miss her 4:33 am (the time I was born! My Mom was serious about this! Lol) birthday call and her birthday song this morning. I miss hearing her voice, her touch, her kiss and her embrace. But I feel love all the way from heaven. And it gives my heart joy to know she is no longer suffering.
I don’t ask for much, if anything, for my birthday. I never did. On my birthday, I’d always asked my mother what she wanted. I desired to give. To give someone else joy and pleasure on my birthday. That was the gift I wanted. To see someone else happy on my birthday. So, with that in mind, I pray that you will receive today what your heart desires. I pray that your prayers would be answered according the Father’s will for your life. May you walk in the blessings God has ordained for your life.
My Beloveds, may the spirit of peace and prosperity find permanent rest in your lives. I decree that every good thing that God has ordained for your life will become evident to you. I recognize my blessings today. More than any other. Because I know that my blessings are beyond measure. My beautiful mother taught me that! And as I celebrate life today, I pray for you. That you would be blessed and know your worth, and that everything that God has ordained for you, you will receive. You are blessed. Now go…and be a blessing!

"Breathe"

Reflections4Life July 12, 2015
“Breathe”
“Then He said to me, “Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, ‘Thus says the Lord God, “Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they come to life.”’ Ezekiel 37:9

Scripture Contemplation: Joshua 1; Psalm 1:2; 4:4; 27:4; Song of Solomon 4:6…

Inhale. Exhale. Inhale. Exhale. Did you know there was a proper way to breathe? That, you can release stress, gain energy, clear your mind with just the way you breathe.
I pray today’s Reflections brings comfort and peace to your heart and mind. I decree it be a continued source of encouragement and inspiration. Meditate on the goodness of God and allow Him to breathe into you a new life, along with His peace and joy. Release the heartaches and pains, as His cleansing breath, restores you.
Did you ever realize how often we hinder our breathing when we are under pressure? How many times have we told someone to breathe when they were hit with something traumatic? Because, it is at that moment that most of feel like the breath has been taken from us. That, perhaps holding our breath will stop whatever is happening from happening.
I know I have been there countless times. Your heart is aching so badly. Your brain is tumbling from all that has occurred. You can't seem to get a hold of your thoughts and what to do next.
Breathe. Take a deep breath, hold it, exhale slowly, and then repeat. Breathe in the strength and calmness of God. Allow Him to relax your mind and direct your path.
Meditation is a wonderful way to work on our breathing and learning to clear our minds. In the word of God, it tells us to meditate on his word day and night. Meditate on the goodness and promises of God.
Do not meditate on the problems facing you. Meditate on the One who can solve them. Breathe in His goodness and mercy. Let His peace envelop you. We carry so many burdens in our heart. We hold onto so much fear, trepidation, and anger. It's time to let it all go. Time To inhale the peace of God and exhale the worries and chaos.
My Beloveds, may the spirit of peace and prosperity find permanent rest in your lives. I decree that every good thing that God has ordained for your life will become evident to you. When a crisis hits, and the enemy is attacking, take a moment and breathe. Take slow, cleansing breaths and let the calmness of God overwhelm you. Breathe, my friend. Breathe. You are blessed. Now go…and be a blessing.

"A Father's Impact"

Reflections4Life June 21st, 2015
“A Father’s Impact”
“Every good and perfect gift is from above and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.” James 1:17
Scripture Contemplation: Psalm 82; Proverbs 3; Proverbs 4; Ephesians 2; 5…

Happy Father's Day to each and every father and father to be, and for every man that has filled the role in a child's life that may have never known a father's love. May this day be a day of happiness and joy.
I pray today’s Reflections brings comfort and peace to your heart and mind. I decree it be a continued source of encouragement and inspiration. May you know the depths of the love that God hoards in His heart for you. May you know Him as a Father; the one who knows you, understands you, and has nothing but the very best for you.
There is no denying the impact that a father can have upon a child's life. Whether it is positive or negative, a father's impact on his child can be felt for a lifetime.
I was fortunate to have a very loving relationship with my father. He encouraged me and inspired me. And always showed how much he believed in me and my dreams. As a child, you believe everyone has a father like yours. But I came to realize how blessed I was.
I lost my father at a very young age. It nearly destroyed me; breaking my heart into a million pieces. I had plenty of uncles who stepped up to the plate, and helped my brother and me throughout the years. But it still never compared to my father.
It was my relationship with the Heavenly Father that kept me tethered to the foundation that my father had laid. My relationship with God helped me to heal and not forget the lessons that I needed to remember. I felt myself slipping. Because of heartache and devastation. My mind wanted to run and let go, but my heart and my God would not let it be so.
My father's influence on my life; his impact was huge. He left such an indelible mark, that it help to push me forward in some of the darkest times that followed.
Never underestimate the impact that a father has on their child. There is something that only a father can provide. Can be in their children's lives. I thank God for the heavenly Father, and how He covers us and is reaching towards us every day. To be the Father to the fatherless, hope and healing to those who lost their earthly fathers. And that foundation that we all need to make it through this journey we call life.
My Beloveds, may the spirit of peace and prosperity find permanent rest in your lives. I decree that every good thing that God has ordained for your life will become evident to you. Allow the heavenly Father into those places in your heart that have been wounded, abandoned and rejected by an earthly father. Let the Heavenly Father remind you, and fill you where the loss of your earthly father may have left a gaping hole. There is nothing impossible for our God. And that includes being the father you need, desire and deserve. He has more than enough room in His heart and on His lap. You are blessed. Now go…and be a blessing.

"The Lessons Learned, The Badges Earned"

Reflections4Life,  December 28th, 2014
“The Lessons Learned, the Badges Earned”
“Take a lesson from the fig tree. From the moment you notice its buds form, the merest hint of green, you know summer’s just around the corner. So it is with you: When you see all these things, you’ll know he’s at the door. Don’t take this lightly. I’m not just saying this for some future generation, but for all of you. This age continues until all these things take place. Sky and earth will wear out; my words won’t wear out.” Matthew 24:32-35 (MSG)
Scripture Contemplation: Psalm 34; Proverbs 6; Mark 13; Hebrews 8; James 5…
I can barely believe this is the last Sunday of the year! Wow! As I look over the year and the many things that have happened—good, bad, ugly, wonderful—I know it all has served as lessons. And for many of us, we have definitely earned some badges of honor along the way.
I declare and decree that this week’s Reflections will be a continued source of encouragement and inspiration for your heart, mind, and soul. As you reflect upon this year, and all the lessons and tests, and trials and triumphs; let your heart be filled with joy, and the knowledge that God not only brought you through it all, but He was right there with you, and continues to be with you right now.
Every test, trial, hardship; even our triumphs and accolades have served as life lessons that we can bring into the New Year. Whether they taught us what to do, what not to do, who to listen to, who not to listen to, what we truly desire, and what we should move on from; it was all valuable lessons that can help us to navigate a New Year, not with resolutions, but decrees and declarations. Declare and decree what God says of you. Declare the will of God shall be done, and decree that you will walk in wisdom, doing and living your best life.
This wasn't an easy year for most. We saw many changes and causes, and people coming together, as well as be divided, but that's to be expected with changes. The world is constantly changing, and so are we. Hopefully and prayerfully we can take the changes and become better human beings that are less moved by emotions, but more inclined to action by our spirit.
Many of us will look back and wonder how we made it! There were some sketchy days, weeks and months when we did not know how we would make it to tomorrow, let alone next week, next month or a next year. Yet here we are. In the land of the living by the grace of God.
Yes. We have been hurt this past year. We have experienced disappointments. We have been let down, lied to, manipulated. We’ve lost loved ones, been separated from those we love, been rejected, and let down by those we call family and friends. But we’re still here. In the land of the living. We may be hurting, but we’re alive to feel it. And as long as we have breath in our body, the blood flowing through our veins; we have an opportunity to see that joy comes in the morning.
Every hurt, disappointment, loss, heartache and betrayal can serve as life lessons in our journey. Every relationship we have whether it worked out or not, taught us something. Every day we are upon this earth, we are being given life lessons. Lessons that we can learn from to help cultivate and propel our lives in the direction that God has ordained.
What a sad predicament to live a life where lessons are never learned. Where, we perpetually live the same situations over and over again; have the same kind of relationships over and over again, and wake with the same disappointments all because we didn’t take heed to the lessons that our life has been teaching us all along.
Until we learn the lessons well, we will never pass the tests to get to the next level of life that awaits us. The problem for most is that we run from life—from its lessons. We deny what’s in front of us and live in a world made up of lies we’ve created to get from one day to the next. It’s like that movie, Groundhog Day, where the main character relives the same day over and over again until he begins to learn the lessons that he was ignoring all of his life. The lessons of life, love, selflessness, and respect for himself and others.
This year has presented us with lessons that we can learn and glean from. We can take these lessons and walk into the New Year fully armed and prepared to live life differently and according to what God has ordained. Too many of us, however, will repeat the trials and tests of this past year because we deny what’s right in front of us. We deny the problems and situations that have been compounding for years and years.
We have a choice, Beloved. We have a grand opportunity to face the truth, take the lessons (even the most painful ones) and learn from them. Learn who we are. Learn who God truly is. And then begin to live the life that God has ordained for us all along. Sure, we may have to let some people go from our lives. We may have to walk away from some situations and people. We may have to sever some ties professionally and financially. We may have to move away. If you want to be free in the New Year; if you truly want what God has ordained—then there are some hard decisions that will have to be made. Just know, however, that God is there with you. He is right there with you through it all. Trust Him.
Thank you for spending this year with me. I have truly enjoyed your company and the pleasure of connecting with some very wonderful and beautiful souls. My prayer for you is that your New Year will be filled with answered prayers, safety, ingenuity, integrity, joy, peace, success, and an abundance of sincere Love! Blessings to you and yours!
I decree that the spirit of peace and prosperity has found permanent rest in your lives. Take the lessons you learned this year to help you be free in the New Year. Wear your badges of triumph well. You earned them! Don’t dismiss the lessons of this year, or deny your experiences. You cannot have a “clean slate” in the New Year with debris from the past causing lumps under the rug, so to speak. Confront it. Confess it. Deal with it. Take its lessons and move on from it. God will be with you through it all. You are blessed. Now go…and be a blessing!

"Kill The Fear, Resurrect The Vision"

Reflections4Life July 20, 2014
Kill The Fear, Resurrect The Vision”
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” John 10:10 (NASB)
Scripture Contemplation: Proverbs 29; Jeremiah 29; Ezekiel 37; Habakkuk 2; 1 Peter 5...

Have you ever felt that, all you ever wanted may never come to pass? That, the dreams and visions you carried for so long are not going to happen? Or, that they died after much pain, suffering, trials, and hardships? Life's journey can throw some curve balls at us; a few of them hitting us and knocking us down. As a result some of us give up on our visions. We lose hope. We may even feel there is nothing more to do. Never give up. Not as long as you believe in the Father. He says, it's time to kill the fear and resurrect the vision.
I declare and decree that this week's Reflections will be a continued source of encouragement and inspiration for your heart, mind, and soul. Though you may have experienced disappointment in your life; delays in your dreams; do not lose hope. Have faith and know that whatever God has declared for your life will certainly come to pass. Allow God annihilate the fear and to resurrect the vision. Trust Him with your all.
In life we may have to start over several times before we get something right and achieve the success we desire and have envisioned. Too many give up to soon walking around with a defeated spirit, and a negative mindset. They become pessimistic about life and the circumstances surrounding them. What it really is, is fear. Fear has come in and replaced hope, slowly blocking out the vision; killing expectations and the vision that once gave life, determination and purpose to their lives.
Beloveds, I have been there. And it wasn't too long ago. Even as I write this Reflection this morning, I am pulling down strongholds and denouncing the lies of the enemy. There is a battle going on in my mind and body. Yet, because of my relationship with the Father, I have already been declared the winner. Even though the battle ensues, in my heart and spirit, I know that all that God has ordained for me shall come to pass. It doesn't matter what it appears to be. It doesn't matter what others say or think. What matters is what God has spoken, and what I truly believe in my heart and soul.
If one searches out the reasons for their struggle and the ensuing battle in their mind, they will find fear. Fear is one of the enemy's favorite weapons. The fear is real. And it can grip one so strongly until it suffocates their faith and snuffs out their vision.
Many know the well-known acronym for fear: False Evidence Appearing Real. Although one knows this, and understands the machinations of the enemy, many still will fall victim to fear's debilitating stronghold; allowing it to cripple them and kill the vision they've held and believed in for so long.
It is time to kill the fear once and for all, and resurrect the vision. The enemy's playtime is over! God has commissioned us to live an abundant life. To, carry out His will upon this earth. To, reach out to the lost, and to take care of those who are in need. It is time to live an abundant life, and have it be on earth as it is in heaven.
This cannot be done operating from a spirit of fear. And it cannot be accomplished by those who have lost hope. Without hope, faith is crippled. And without faith, the vision cannot and will not come to pass. For too long we have allowed the enemy to have reign over our thoughts and sneak his tentacles into our hearts where he has held a choke-hold, keeping us bound from living the life that God has ordained for us. I can attest to this. And enough is enough!
We need to remind ourselves daily of the authority that God has given us. We must learn to walk in the spirit. To, walk by faith and not by sight. Sometimes we slip, and we allow circumstances to scare us. But we must get a hold of ourselves, and have a made up and determined mind to do what God has said, and believe in what He has already declared and decreed concerning our lives.
Luke 10:18-20 The Message (MSG) Jesus said, “I know. I saw Satan fall, a bolt of lightning out of the sky. See what I’ve given you? Safe passage as you walk on snakes and scorpions, and protection from every assault of the Enemy. No one can put a hand on you. All the same, the great triumph is not in your authority over evil, but in God’s authority over you and presence with you. Not what you do for God but what God does for you—that’s the agenda for rejoicing.”
2 Timothy 1:7 (KJ21) “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
Jeremiah 29:11 (MSG) “I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.”
Habakkuk 2:2 (MSG) And then God answered: “Write this. Write what you see. Write it out in big block letters so that it can be read on the run. This vision-message is a witness pointing to what’s coming. It aches for the coming—it can hardly wait! And it doesn’t lie. If it seems slow in coming, wait. It’s on its way. It will come right on time”
Proverbs 29:18 (KJ21) “Where there is no vision, the people perish; but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.”
God certainly does have a plan for our lives. I maintain that life is a journey that is meant to be lived. And part of that living entails ups and downs, triumphs and defeat, happiness and mourning, peace and war. Throughout our life's journey we will experience many things. We will encounter a host of things we may feel we will never make it through. However, when you know God; when you are in an intimate relationship with the Father, the journey itself may not become any easier, but it becomes easier to bear. The encounters upon the journey will no longer destroy you, but strengthen you and add to your resolve, catapulting you to the place where God has ordained.
The journey of our lives will be filled with many lessons and tests to which God has all the answers, and will reveal to you if you do not give up or succumb to the vile tactics of the enemy. There will be pitfalls and ditches, and storms. There will be unexpected detours and some less than savory people. But there will also be love, kindness and mercy. There will be good people, sunshine, and rest along the way. It is just a matter of following God's instructions, holding onto faith, and keeping the vision at the forefront. Maintain focus. Fear will appear. But you must know and remember, that God has already given you power over fear, and the ability to overcome every obstacle, and His name is, Jesus. With Him, you can never lose.
I decree that the spirit of peace and prosperity has found permanent rest in your lives. All fear is defeated when you declare and decree what God has spoken over you. It's time for every fear to die, so that your vision may be resurrected. God made you a promise, now you must choose to believe it and walk in it. Forget about what things look like, and hold onto what the Father has said. The word of God trumps everything else. No matter what it may appear to be. God cannot lie. Believe. You are Blessed. Now go...and Be a Blessing!

Reflections4Life: "Thank You Lord"

Reflections4Life December 1st, 2013
Thank You Lord”
You are my God, and I give thanks to You; You are my God, I extol You.” Psalm 118:28
Scripture Contemplation: Psalm 118; Psalm 138; Philippians 4:6; Colossians 3; 1 Thessalonians 5:18
This will probably be one of the shortest Reflections I have written to date. Not because I do not have much to share, but the simple fact that I just want to remind you to give God some praise. To take the time out and say, Thank You Lord.
I declare and decree that this week's Reflection will be a continued source of encouragement and inspiration for your heart, mind, and soul. May your heart and mouth be filled with thanksgiving to the Lord for all that He has done. May your spirit be filled with continuous praise, that would bubble up and come forth from your spirit.
Yes, I already know. Sometimes you feel as though you have nothing to be thankful for. What? Are you suppose to be thankful for some bills that keep piling up? You can thank God for His provision, making a way for you to take care of those bills. What? Are you suppose to be thankful for being sick? You can thank Jesus, for by His stripes you are healed. What? Are you suppose to be thankful for poverty? You can thank God that He shall supply all your needs according to His riches in Christ Jesus. You can thank Him that He's never seen His righteous forsaken, nor their seed begging bread. You can thank the Lord that whatever He has spoken concerning you, His word will not return to Him void, but will accomplish what He sent it to accomplish.
Still not so sure what you have to thank the Lord for? You're alive. You're reading this, or hearing this. You have breath in your body, another opportunity to repent. Another chance to come to God. Another opportunity to get things right in your life and perhaps make amends or repair broken relationships. You decide. But you cannot tell me you don't have at LEAST one thing to thank the Lord for this day.
I am the first to admit that I have been guilty at looking at what I do not have as opposed to what I do have. I have overlooked the blessings that were already manifested, because I was too preoccupied with what I did not have or wanted at the time. I have learned that when you are thankful for what you have right now; when you give the Lord thanks for the blessing that He is in your life; when you open your mouth and praise Him in the midst of hard times, or when something horrific takes place—praise certainly does make a world of difference.
No matter what you are facing today, no matter your circumstances, give God the praise. Thank the Lord today. Give Him the glory of and not just because of. There is power in your praise. There is power when you thank the Lord. Your thanksgiving opens up doors. It releases the blessings of heaven in your life. It breaks the chains and gives power to the angels that God has assigned over your life. What do you have to lose, but heartache and pain? Let your chains be loosed today by opening your mouth and giving the Lord some praise! Be the catalyst for someone else life to be changed.
Acts 16:25-30 “25 But about midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns of praise to God, and the prisoners were listening to them; 26 and suddenly there came a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison house were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were unfastened. 27 When the jailer awoke and saw the prison doors opened, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself, supposing that the prisoners had escaped. 28 But Paul cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Do not harm yourself, for we are all here!” 29 And he called for lights and rushed in, and trembling with fear he fell down before Paul and Silas, 30 and after he brought them out, he said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”
You want your life to change? Give God the praise. You want the life of your loved ones to change for the better? Give God the praise. You want your community, family, friends to change? Then let them witness you giving God the praise even whilst in the midst of hardship and pain. Go on, and thank the Lord today!
I decree that the spirit of peace and of prosperity has found permanent rest in your life spiritually, physically, emotionally, mentally, socially, and financially. Open your mouth and give God praise. Let the Lord know that you love Him. That, you are thankful. Let your praise be the catalyst for change in another person's life. No matter what you are facing, don't allow the enemy to shut your mouth. You give God the praise, no matter the situation, and watch what praise will do for you! You are Blessed. Now go...and Be a Blessing!
